Sharwood's is a British food company, which specialises in Asian food, established in 1889 and acquired by RHM in 1963, which was then merged into Premier Foods in March 2007.
The company produces Indian, Chinese and South East Asian food products and ingredients. It produces many cooking sauces, which usually come in a recognisable square shape jar, and also curry pastes and powders, pappadoms, naan breads, noodles, prawn crackers as well as ready meals. It holds the largest market share in Britain in this range. As of 2007 it claims to have 28% of the Asian food market in Britain, and that 46% of sales are from sauces. The sauces are made at the Worksop Factory in north Nottinghamshire.
In August 2010 Sharwood's teamed up with actor and personality Joanna Lumley to develop a limited edition Mango Chutney with Kashmiri Chilli – an ingredient from her birthplace. Sharwood's pledged to donate 10p from each jar sold to the Gurkha Welfare Trust. [1]
In 2012, Sharwood's released an extended range to complement its tikka masala sauce; these are "Extra Mild", "Extra Creamy", "Extra Onions" and "Mango Chutney flavour".
In addition to the UK, Sharwood's products are available in Australia, New Zealand, and North America.

She has won two BAFTA TV Awards for her role as Patsy Stone in the BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous (1992–2012), and was nominated for the 2011 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for the Broadway revival of La Bête. Branston is an English food brand best known for the original Branston Pickle, a jarred pickled chutney first made in 1922 in the village of Branston near Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire by Crosse & Blackwell. The Branston factory proved to be uneconomical, and production was moved to Crosse & Blackwell subsidiary, E Lazenby & Sons in Bermondsey, London, where it invested in new buildings in 1924 and 1926, which remained in use until 1969.
Shrimp paste or prawn sauce is a fermented condiment commonly used in Southeast Asian and Southern Chinese cuisines. It is primarily made from finely crushed shrimp or krill mixed with salt, and then fermented for several weeks. They are either sold in their wet form or are sun-dried and either cut into rectangular blocks or sold in bulk. It is an essential ingredient in many curries, sauces and sambal. Shrimp paste can be found in many meals in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is often an ingredient in dip for fish or vegetables.

Amba or anba is a tangy mango pickle condiment of Indian origin. It is typically made of pickled green mangoes, vinegar, salt, turmeric, chili and fenugreek. It is somewhat similar to savoury mango chutneys.

Loyd Grossman Food is a brand of cooking sauces established in 1995 manufactured by Premier Foods in association with TV personality and food critic Loyd Grossman. As of 2012 Premier Foods, which also manufactures Sharwood's, was the leading UK cooking sauces company in terms of value share.
