Shaundelle Brooks is a democratic Tennessee State Representative representing District 60. [1] Brown was first elected in 2024 to serve on the 114th General Assembly after winning 54% of the vote. [2]
Brooks was born and raised in Brooklyn to parents who were both police officers. [3] Brooks was also the mother of Akilah Dasilva,one of the victims of the 2018 Nashville Waffle House Shooting and ran on a platform of addressing gun violence. [2] [4]
