Shawn I. Ray (born September 9, 1965) is a former professional bodybuilder and author.
Ray is referenced in The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding by Bill Dobbins and Arnold Schwarzenegger. He authored a book titled The Shawn Ray Way on Bodybuilding. Ray has appeared on the cover of Flex magazine more times than any other bodybuilder and has been featured in various fitness and bodybuilding publications worldwide. He co-hosted the Flex Magazine Workout on ESPN for five years and served as a commentator for bodybuilding competitions on ESPN for eight years. [1]
In 2006 and 2007, Ray promoted the Shawn Ray Colorado Pro/Am Classic Contest-Expo in Denver, Colorado. He also produced a DVD titled Fitness After 40, focusing on regaining fitness in later life. [2] Currently, Ray is a feature writer for Digital Muscle Media and hosts the Mr. Olympia pay-per-view event. He also created a video documentary titled Evolution of Bodybuilding – The Movie.
Ray married in 2003 and his daughter, Asia Monet was born on August 10, 2005. In 2008, Ray and his wife, Kristie, welcomed their second daughter.
In retirement, Ray has stayed involved with bodybuilding through "muscle camps," seminars, grand openings, and as a master of ceremonies for contests. Ray has promoted the New York Pro contest in New York City. He is a global ambassador for supplement company Mutant and editor-in-chief of Digital Muscle Media. [3]
Ray competed in three different decades before retiring at age 36 in 2001.
Ronald Dean Coleman is an American retired professional bodybuilder, who is widely regarded as the greatest bodybuilder of all-time. Jason Isaac Cutler, known professionally as Jay Cutler, is an American retired professional bodybuilder. An IFBB Pro League bodybuilder, Cutler is a four-time Mr. Olympia winner, having won in 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2010; and a six-time runner-up, the most in history. He also won consecutive Arnold Classic titles in 2002, 2003, and 2004. During his career, he was known for his rivalry with Ronnie Coleman. In 2021, he was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame.
Kenneth "Flex" Wheeler is an American retired IFBB professional bodybuilder. He won the Arnold Classic a then-record four times and was once described by Arnold Schwarzenegger as one of the greatest bodybuilders he had ever seen. Ronnie Coleman has stated that Wheeler was the best bodybuilder he competed against.
Lee Andrew McCutcheon , known professionally as Lee Priest, is a competitive bodybuilder. He is a former International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) professional bodybuilder and a current National Amateur Body-Builders' Association (NABBA) professional athlete.
Gustavo Badell, also nicknamed The Freakin' 'Rican, was a Venezuelan-born Puerto Rican International Federation of BodyBuilders professional bodybuilder. With close family members Jessica Rodriguez, Michael Badell, Dina Stephanie Lumley Denoire, Jackson Joyce, Kyla Glasier, Emily Badell, Jb Joyce, Analella Badell, James Lumley and Jizzelle Rudes. He died from a sudden stroke in Venezuela after multiple heart issues.

Marcus Haley is an IFBB American bodybuilder. He most referred as Haley's Comet. Before touching weights, Marcus was taking care of his four little brothers while his mother was fighting a bout of drug abuse. An outstanding running back and defensive back at Pahrump High School, he earned a scholarship to Dakota Wesleyan University. He attended Dakota Wesleyan University for two years, but after encountering a lot a racism he returned home. Haley admits that he always looked up to Shawn Ray and Mike Ashley as a youth. While in Las Vegas, Haley started training at Gold's Gym and met a female bodybuilder named Gabby. His first show was the Golds Gym Classic in Las Vegas. Not knowing how to diet, he ate hamburger patties from McDonald's. Carb loading was done with rice and French fries. He placed third in the show.
