Shikongo Iipinge Senior Secondary School is a school in Tsandi in the Omusati Region in Namibia. [1] Currently it has 442 students and 20 teachers. [2] It was founded by Chris Iipinge, circuit inspector and first principal of the school, in 1985. [3]

Omusati Region Region in Namibia

Omusati region is one of the fourteen regions of Namibia, its capital is Outapi. The region's name Omusati, comes from the Oshiwamo word 'omusati' which means 'Mopane'. Mopani tree is the dominant species in the region; the Makalani palms decrease rapidly westwards from the border with Oshana region. The change in vegetation type reflects ecological conditions forming a natural boundary between the two regions.

Omugulugwombashe is a settlement in the Tsandi electoral constituency in the Omusati Region of northern Namibia. The settlement features a clinic and a primary school. In Omugulugwombashe the first battle of the South African Border War was fought in 1966. The government of Namibia erected a monument in honour of this battle at the thirtieth anniversary of the start of the conflict in 1996.

Shaanika Nashilongo Secondary School is a school in Okahao in the Omusati Region in Namibia. The school was founded in 1947 as a mission school of the Finnish Missionary Society. Previously named Ongandjera Secondary School, it has 31 teachers and 661 learners.

Ananias Shikongo Paralympian athlete from Namibia

Ananias Shikongo is a Paralympian athlete from Namibia competing mainly in category T11 shortdistance events. He was born in 1986 and lives in Windhoek, Namibia. He shares a shack in the Katutura township with Paralympic silver medalist and school friend Johannes Nambala.

Reverend Juuso Shikongo Senior Secondary School is a Namibian public school in the Omuntele Constituency in the Oshikoto Region about 60 kilometres southeast of Ondangwa, which was in 2013 inaugurated by then Education Minister Dr David Namwandi. The school is named after the founder of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia 's Omuntele congregation, Reverend Juuso Shikongo, the school started operating from a sister school, Uukule Senior Secondary School situated at Onyaanya Constituency some 30 kilometres away, in 2011 before moving to Omuntele at the beginning of the year 2013. In his official inauguration address, the education minister David Namwandi pointed out that Government has spent N$120 million on the construction of classrooms, offices and hostels for the school.
