Shiping Zhu is a Canadian engineer who has served as Vice President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen for external and student affairs since 2017. Her research has focused on biomaterials and eye health, including bioengineered contact lenses, and eye drops that can be used for targeted drug delivery. She was the student of Professor John Brash.

Philip James Devereaux is a Canadian cardiologist, clinical epidemiologist, and perioperative care physician. Devereaux conducts clinical research within cardiac and perioperative fields, with a focus on vascular surgical complications.
