Shirley J. Winsley (born June 9,1934) is an American politician who served in the Washington House of Representatives from the 28th district from 1974 to 1975,from 1977 to 1983,and from 1985 to 1993,and in the Washington State Senate,representing the 28th district from 1993 to 2004. [1] [2]

Shirley Anita Chisholm was an American politician who,in 1968,became the first black woman to be elected to the United States Congress. Chisholm represented New York's 12th congressional district,a district centered in Bedford–Stuyvesant,Brooklyn for seven terms from 1969 to 1983. In 1972,she became the first black candidate for a major-party nomination for President of the United States and the first woman to run for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. Throughout her career,she was known for taking "a resolute stand against economic,social,and political injustices," as well as being a strong supporter of black civil rights and women's rights.
The 28th Infantry Division ("Keystone") is a unit of the United States Army National Guard,and is the oldest division-sized unit in the Army. Some of the units of the division can trace their lineage to Benjamin Franklin's battalion,The Pennsylvania Associators (1747–1777). The division was officially established in 1879 and was later redesignated as the 28th Division in 1917,after the entry of America into the First World War. It is today part of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard,Maryland Army National Guard,Ohio Army National Guard,and New Jersey Army National Guard.
