She is the 2006 Olympic silver medalist, a three-time World Championship medalist, the 2003 Grand Prix Final Champion, and the 2006 U.S. Champion. She is known for her artistry, flexibility and body lines, and musical interpretation. As of 2022, Cohen is the most recent American woman to medal individually in figure skating at the Olympics.

The 2007 Canadian Figure Skating Championships took place from January 15 to 21 at the Halifax Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The event is an annual figure skating competition held by Skate Canada, the nation's figure skating governing body. Skaters competed at the senior and junior levels in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The top finishers are named to Canadian teams, which competes at the 2007 World Championships, the 2007 Four Continents Championships, and the 2007 World Junior Championships.

Kay Thomson is a Canadian former figure skater who competed in ladies' singles. She is the 1981 Prize of Moscow News champion, the 1983 Skate Canada International silver medallist, and a three-time Canadian national champion. Her rise to dominance of Canadian ladies figure skating was unexpected as young phenom Tracy Wainmann had been expected to dominate Canadian ladies skating throughout this quadrennial, and beyond, but Thomson dethroned Wainmann at the 1982 Canadian Championships, and was only challenged by rising future superstar Elizabeth Manley thereafter as Wainmann fell off the map for a few years with personal issues and a growth spurt. She represented Canada at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, placing 12th, and at three World Championships, achieving her best result, fifth, in 1984 (Ottawa). She also finished a strong 6th at both the 82 and 83 worlds. At this event she had perhaps her best shot ever of a world podium finish in a heavily weakened post Olympic field and a respectable initial finish in compulsory figures which were never her strength, but a turn between her triple lutz-double toe combination in the short, and a miss on her triple flip in the long, was enough to keep her behind silver medallist Anna Kondrashova, bronze medallist Elaine Zayak, and 4th-place finisher Kira Ivanova.

She is the 1962 World silver medallist, the 1963 North American champion, and a four-time (1960–63) Canadian national champion. She competed at the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley and 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, placing 12th and 10th, respectively.
Grace Elizabeth Gold, known as Gracie Gold, is an American figure skater. She is a 2014 Olympic team event bronze medalist, the 2014 NHK Trophy champion, the 2015 Trophée Éric Bompard champion, and a two-time U.S. national champion. She is also a two-time World Team Trophy champion.
Kaetlyn Osmond is a retired competitive Canadian figure skater who competed in ladies' singles. A three-time Canadian national champion, Osmond competed internationally at the senior level from 2012 to 2018, winning three Olympic medals, two World Championship medals, and one Grand Prix Final medal (bronze). She was Canada's first ladies' World Champion in 45 years when she won in 2018.

With her husband and former skating partner, Chris Knierim, she is a 2018 Olympic bronze medalist in the figure skating team event, a two-time Four Continents medalist, a three-time Grand Prix medalist, and a three-time U.S. National Champion. At the 2018 Winter Olympics, the Knierims became the first American pair, and the second pair ever in history, to perform a quad twist at the Olympic Games.

Karen Chen is an American figure skater. She is a two-time CS U.S. Classic bronze medalist, the 2015 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb bronze medalist, the 2017 U.S. national champion, 2022 U.S. national silver medalist, and a three-time U.S. national bronze medalist. Chen competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics, placing 11th. She has also competed at seven ISU Championships, achieving her best result, fourth, at two World Championships.
Chloe Ing is a Singaporean-Canadian figure skater. She is the 2019 Southeast Asian Games champion, 2017 Southeast Asian Games silver medalist and a four-time senior national champion. She has competed in the final segment at three ISU Championships – the 2017 Four Continents, 2018 Four Continents, and 2018 Junior Worlds. At the 2017 Merano Cup, she became the first skater representing Singapore to win a senior ladies medal in an ISU-recognized international competition. She won her second international medal at the 2018 Sofia Trophy.
