The ShockerFest International Film Festival is a Californian film and video festival for horror, fantasy and science fiction films since 2002. [1]
ShockerFest International Film Festival 2013 was held on October 15–31, 2013. Unlike previous years, it was completely streamed online at http://www.shockerfest.net. [2] [3]
ShockerFest 2009 was held on September 26–27, 2009, at the Galaxy 12 Theatre in Riverbank, California. [4] The announced special guests were Eileen Dietz, Robert Axelrod and Brinke Stevens.
Frank Sabella's Blood Night, Ursula Dabrowsky's Family Demons, Chris LaMartina's Grave Mistakes, Luke Ricci's How to Be a Serial Killer , Barbara Stepansky's Hurt , Michael Emanuel's Maneater, Jon Binkovski's Scare Zone, Dan Donley's Shellter, and Simeon Halligan's Splintered were announced as horror features, Aaron Yamasato's Blood of the Samurai II, Benjamin Pollack's Dark Room Theatre, Ken del Conte's Death Calls and Park Bench's The Death of Alice Blue as fantasy features and Christopher Mihm's Terror From Beneath the Earth was the only sci-fi feature. Additionally, as part of the short film program, 27 horror, 4 fantasy and 6 science-fiction short films were shown.

Exposure is a short-film oriented science-fiction anthology series that aired on the Sci-Fi Channel between the years of 2000 and 2002. The series showcased the short sci-fi films of both unknown and known filmmakers, giving rise to the channel's own Exposure Studios. Hosted by actress Lisa Marie, the films presented a wide range of science fiction subject matter. The series received poor ratings and was canceled in the fall of 2002. The series was originally shown on Sundays at 10:00pm EST and was repeated the following Saturday at 2:00am EST, later on the time was changed to 11:00pm EST and still repeated the following Saturday well after Midnight, which probably is a major reason for the poor ratings this show received. The series also had two guest hosts. Terry Farrell would host the "Best of Season One" episode and director Kevin Smith hosted the "Star Wars Short Films Showcase".

Decapoda Shock is a 2011 Spanish short science fiction action parody film written, directed, co-produced, and with brief animated sequences by Javier Chillon. The film depicts an astronaut infected by an alien crab-like creature, transforming him into a decapod crustacean/human hybrid and whose family has disappeared, both the result of a sinister conspiracy, for which he seeks vengeance. As of 2019, Chillon's second film has been selected for more than 300 international film festivals, and received over thirty awards and honours within the first two years of its release, including a Méliès d'Argent.

The shorts are by international filmmakers such as Antonio Padovan, Javier Chillon, Benni Diez and Marinko Spahić, while Justin McConnell directed the wraparound.
