Shoichiro Hokazono is a Japanese euphonium player and soloist. He most notably played with the Central Band of the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force and plays on euphoniums made by Besson. [1] [2]
Hokazono studied at the Shobi Conservatory in Tokyo, Japan under Toru Miura, graduating in 1994. He then continued his studies under Kaoru Tsuyuki and Steven Mead. [3]
In 1995, Hokazono appeared as guest recitalist at the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference (ITEC) held at the Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. [4]
Throughout his career, Hokazono has played with several orchestral groups, including the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, Strasbourg Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, and the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra. [5]
Hokazono played solo euphonium in the Japan Air Self Defense Force Central Band before retiring in March 2013. [6] He is also a professor at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and at Soai University. [7]
The Symphonic Game Music Concerts are a series of award-winning orchestral video game music concerts first performed in 2003 at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Germany, notable for being the longest running and the first of their kind outside Japan. They are produced by Thomas Böcker and performed by various orchestras conducted by Andy Brick (2003–2007), Arnie Roth, Niklas Willén and Eckehard Stier.

In addition to the soundtracks on Kaiju films and anime music, she has composed music for several video games such as Genghis Khan II: Clan of the Gray Wolf for Super NES, Ico for PlayStation 2, Legend of Legaia for PlayStation and its PlayStation 2 sequel Legaia 2: Duel Saga, Arc the Lad III, Deemo, Midnight Play by the company Tivola based on the art illustrations of Květa Pacovská, and an orchestral arrangement of a Zelda medley for the Wii and GameCube game The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. She was also the composer for a Japanese stage musical adaptation of the classic Hollywood film Roman Holiday. Her latest work includes the composition of several music tracks for the highly acclaimed Chinese espionage thriller film The Message and a 2017 Chinese mystery thriller film The Devotion of Suspect X (film).
Douglas Yeo is an American bass trombonist who played in the Boston Symphony Orchestra from 1985 to 2012, where he held the John Moors Cabot Bass Trombone Chair. He was also on the faculty of the New England Conservatory. In 2012 he retired from the BSO and accepted a position as professor of trombone at the Arizona State University School of Music, a position he held until 2016. In 2019, he was appointed to the faculty of Wheaton College (Illinois).
