Shona Pitman is a former Jersey politician who was first elected as a Deputy for St Helier in the Jersey general election of 2005. [1] She lost her seat in January 2014 after being declared bankrupt. [2]
The Channel Islands are an archipelago in the English Channel,off the French coast of Normandy. The New Jersey Devils are a professional ice hockey team based in Newark,New Jersey. The Devils compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference. The club was founded as the Kansas City Scouts in Kansas City,Missouri,in 1974. The Scouts moved to Denver in 1976 and became the Colorado Rockies. In 1982,they moved to East Rutherford,New Jersey and took their current name. For their first 25 seasons in New Jersey,the Devils were based at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford and played their home games at Brendan Byrne Arena. Before the 2007–08 season,the Devils moved to Prudential Center in Newark.

The Brooklyn Nets are an American professional basketball team based in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The club was established in 1967 as a charter franchise of the NBA's rival league,the American Basketball Association (ABA). In the Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia folklore of the United States,the Jersey Devil is a legendary creature said to inhabit the forest of Pine Barrens in South Jersey. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves,but there are many variations. The common description is that of a bipedal kangaroo-like or wyvern-like creature with a horse- or goat-like head,leathery bat-like wings,horns,small arms with clawed hands,legs with cloven hooves,and a forked tail. It has been reported to move quickly and is often described as emitting a high-pitched "blood-curdling scream".

The Crown Dependencies are three island territories in the British Islands that are self-governing possessions of the British Crown:the Bailiwick of Guernsey,the Bailiwick of Jersey,and the Isle of Man. They are not part of the United Kingdom (UK) nor are they British Overseas Territories. They have the status of "territories for which the United Kingdom is responsible",rather than sovereign states. As a result,they are not member states of the Commonwealth of Nations. However,they do have relationships with the Commonwealth and other international organisations,and are members of the British–Irish Council. They have their own teams in the Commonwealth Games.
