Shoot Boxing World Tournament 1995 or S-Cup 1995 was a shoot boxing event promoted by Caesar Takeshi. It was the inaugural (70kg/154lbs weight class) Shoot Boxing World Tournament, featuring an eight single elimination format, fought under Shoot Boxing Rules. In total there were eight fighters at the event, representing five countries. The tournament winner was Hiromu Yoshitaka who defeated Ron Belliveau in the final. The event was held at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium on Wednesday, 31 January 1995.

Shoot Boxing World Tournament 2010 or S-Cup 2010 was a shoot boxing event promoted by Caesar Takeshi. It was the seven bi-annual Shoot Boxing World Tournament, featuring an eight-man single elimination format, with one reserve fight, all fought under Shoot Boxing Rules. The eight finalists and two reserve fighters were a mixture of invitees or had been involved in previous events. As well as tournament matches there were also two 'Opening Fights', a 'Women's Fight' and three 'Super Fights' all fought under Shoot Boxing Rules. In total there were twenty-two fighters at the event, representing six countries.

S-Cup Europe 2008 was a martial arts event co promoted by Shoot Boxing Europe and East Side Promotions. It was a preliminary qualifying tournament for the Shoot Boxing World Tournament 2008, involving ten fighters with all bouts fought under Shoot Boxing rules. All the tournament fighters were invitees selected on the basis of their achievements in kickboxing, Muay Thai and Savate. As well as tournament matches there were also a number of opening fights and super fights, and a W.P.K.L. European title fight. One of the opening fights was fought under Shoot Boxing rules while the rest of the matches were fought under Muay Thai rules. In total there were thirty four fighters at the event, representing twelve countries, with weight classes ranging from under 32 kg to over 95 kg.

Girls S-Cup is an annual women's kickboxing tournament promoted by Takeshi Caesar's Shoot Boxing Association and competed under shoot boxing rules. The tournament format is the 8-woman single elimination. Caesar Gym star Rena Kubota has dominated the tournament since its inauguration in 2009.

Lorena Klijn is a Dutch kickboxer who competes in the flyweight and bantamweight divisions.

Henri van Opstal is a Dutch kickboxer who competes in the middleweight division. Van Opstal came to prominence by winning the WMC European Junior Middleweight Championship but found further success competing in Japan, taking wins over a number of the countries' top middleweights and finishing as runner-up in the Shoot Boxing World Tournament 2012.

The boxing tournaments at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo took place from 24 July to 8 August 2021 at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan. Thirteen events were staged, the same number as in London in 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016. However, for the first time since the London Games, the programme has been updated, with the number of men's events reduced by two and the number of women's events increased by the same number.
