The women's 1000 metres competition in short-track speed skating at the 2026 Winter Olympics will be held on 14 February (heats) and 16 February (finals), 2026 at the Forum di Milano in Milano. ^[1]

Qualification

Countries were assigned quotas based on their performance during the 2025–26 ISU Short Track World Tour. A total of 32 athletes from 15 nations qualified for the event.

World and Olympic record holder and Olympic champion in 2018 and 2022, Suzanne Schulting will not defend her title, despite being on the Dutch team. Coach Niels Kerstholt gave preference to other teammates based on performance at international competitions. Schulting will compete at the 1500m short-track and 1000m long-track speed skating events. ^[2]
