Shuaib Oba AbdulRaheem (born October 22, 1948) is a Nigerian academic and former vice-chancellor of the University of Ilorin [1] [2] [3] [4] who served as chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC). [5] [6] [7] He did his doctorate from University of Kent. [8]

He is politically associated with the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and its gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 Kwara State gubernatorial election in Kwara State, Nigeria. [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] He also contested under the People's Democratic Party (2011 and 2015), [15] All Progressives Congress (APC) (2019) [16] [17] and Social Democratic Party (SDP). [18] He was also chairman of the Visitation Panels to 25 Federal Polytechnics and 21 Colleges of Education. [19]

University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), is a federal government-owned public research university in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. Abdul Ganiyu Ambali is a Nigerian academic, administrator and former vice chancellor of the University of Ilorin. Ambali was also former chairman of the Association of West African Universities (AWAU), and a recipient of one of Nigeria's highest honours, CON.

Ó Tó Gẹ́ is the slogan for the political revolution that took place in Nigeria's Kwara State in 2019. The slogan was first used by 79-year-old Lazeez Ayinla Kolawole, a member of the All Progressives Congress.

The 2019 Kwara State gubernatorial election occurred on March 9, 2019. APC's AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq polled 73.12% of the total votes, ahead of PDP's Razak Atunwa who got 25.31% of votes trailing behind by a margin of 216,792 votes, and several minor party candidates. APC won in all 16 LGAs of the state.

The 2023 Nigerian gubernatorial elections were held for state governors in 31 out of 36 Nigerian states. All but three elections were held on 18 March—concurrent with elections to every state house of assembly, three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections—while the Imo State, Kogi State, and Bayelsa State elections will be held on 11 November. The last regular gubernatorial elections for all states were in 2019. All states have a two term limit for Governors which makes 18 incumbent governors ineligible for re-election.

Muhammad Dele Belgore is a Nigerian lawyer and politician. He was the 2011 Action Congress of Nigeria's (ACN) Kwara State governorship candidate in the 2011 Kwara State gubernatorial election. However he lost out to the PDP's Governorship candidate, Abdulfatah Ahmed who became the Governor of Kwara state. Belgore is a native of Ilorin in Kwara state.
