Manga are comics or graphic novels originating from Japan. Most manga conform to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century, and the form has a long history in earlier Japanese art. The term manga is used in Japan to refer to both comics and cartooning. Outside of Japan, the word is typically used to refer to comics originally published in Japan and published in translation, i.e. a Japanese comic book with English text.
Weekly Shōnen Jump is a weekly shōnen manga anthology published in Japan by Shueisha under the Jump line of magazines. The manga series within the magazine consist of many action scenes and a fair amount of comedy. Chapters of the series that run in Weekly Shōnen Jump are collected and published in tankōbon volumes under the Jump Comics imprint every two to three months. It is one of the longest-running manga magazines, with the first issue being released with a cover date of August 1, 1968.
Manhwa is the general Korean term for comics and print-cartoons. Outside Korea, the term usually refers to South Korean comics. Manhwa is directly influenced by Japanese Manga comics. Modern Manhwa has extended its reach to many other countries. These comics have branched outside of Korea by access of Webtoons and have created an impact that has resulted in some movie and television show adaptations.
Manhua are Chinese-language comics produced in Greater China. Chinese comics and narrated illustrations have existed in China throughout its history.
Saint Seiya: Episode.G, also known as Knights of the Zodiac: Episode.G, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Megumu Okada. A spin-off of the manga series Saint Seiya by Masami Kurumada, it first started being serialized in the monthly magazine Champion Red on December 19, 2002, and was concluded on June 19, 2013, being later compiled into 20 tankōbon by Akita Shoten.
Kana is a French publisher affiliated with Les Éditions Dargaud. Kana was founded in 1996 by Yves Schlirf. The company publishes manga in French and used to publish in Dutch. Its headquarters are in the Dargaud offices in the 18th arrondissement of Paris.

Bat-Manga!: The Secret History of Batman in Japan is a 2008 book published by Pantheon Books, subsidiary of Random House, in the United States. The book was designed by Chip Kidd, the content was sourced from Saul Ferris’ extensive collection of Japanese Batman manga, toys and ephemera, which was photographed by frequent collaborator Geoff Spear. It collects a Japanese shōnen manga adaptation of the American comic book series Batman by Jiro Kuwata simply entitled Batman and also includes photographs of vintage Batman toys from Japan. The Batman manga included in Bat-Manga! was created during a Batman craze in Japan, being serialized from April 1966 to May 1967; the series ended when the craze ended. The manga was released in paperback and at the same time a limited hardcover was released on October 28, 2008, with an additional manhua bootleg and an extra Batman story by the creator. On October 28, 2013, the entire 53 chapter run of the series was released in Japan as a three volume-box set.
Aurélien Cotentin, better known by his stage name Orelsan, is a French rapper, songwriter, record producer, actor and film director. He has released four studio albums: his debut Perdu d'avance on 16 February 2009, his second album Le chant des sirènes on 26 September 2011, his third album La fête est finie on 20 October 2017 and his fourth album Civilisation on 19 November 2021.
Hajime Isayama is a Japanese manga artist. His first series, Attack on Titan (2009–2021), became one of the best-selling manga series of all time with 140 million copies in circulation as of November 2023. He received a special award at the 50th Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2023.
Hanjuku-Joshi is a Japanese yuri romance manga series written and illustrated by Akiko Morishima. It was serialized in Comic Yuri Hime by Ichijinsha, with the chapters collected in two volumes. It was released online in English by JManga and it is published in French by Taïfu Comics.
Himitsu no Recipe is a Japanese romance yuri manga series written and illustrated by Milk Morinaga and serialized in Tsubomi and later in Tsubomi Web by Houbunsha. It's published in French by Taifu Comics.
Haru Natsu Aki Fuyu is a Japanese erotic romance yuri manga written by Eiki Eiki and illustrated by Taishi Zaou. It was serialized on Yuri Shimai and Comic Yuri Hime and published in a single volume by Ichijinsha. It was published in English on JManga and in French by Taifu Comics. Two drama CDs were also released.
Hachimitsu ni Hatsukoi is a Japanese slice of life romance shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Ai Minase and serialized on Shogakukan's Shōjo Comic magazine. 12 volumes were published. It is published in France by Panini.
In Clothes Called Fat is a Japanese drama josei manga written and illustrated by Moyoco Anno and serialized on Shufu-to-Seikatsu Sha's Weekly Josei magazine. A compilation volume was released on November 15, 1997. It was published in English by Vertical and in French by Kana.
Tokyo Alice is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Toriko Chiya. It was serialized in Kodansha's josei manga magazine Kiss from October 25, 2005, to August 25, 2015. Its chapters were collected in 15 tankōbon volumes. A live-action drama premiered in Japan from August 25, 2017, and ran for 12 episodes; it was later released internationally on Amazon Prime Video in 2019.
Berry Dynamite is a Japanese comedy manga series written and illustrated by Aya Nakahara. It was serialized in Shueisha's shōjo manga magazine Bessatsu Margaret from May 2009 to March 2010, with its chapters collected into three tankōbon volumes.
Ane no Kekkon is a Japanese slice of life romance josei manga series written and illustrated by Keiko Nishi. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Flowers manga magazine from 2010 to August 2014. It was compiled into 8 volumes published between 2011 and 2014. It's published in French by Panini.
Zhang Xiaobai is a Chinese comics artist. She won the Gold Award at the 4th International Manga Award in 2011.
