Sibongile Mjekula (born 2 February 1991) is a former South African rhythmic gymnast. [1] She represented her country in international competitions.
At the 2004 African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Thiès, she won the gold medal in the junior category in the All-Around and with rope, ball, clubs and ribbon. [2] Mjekula was the 2005 and 2006 junior champion and won a gold medal at the 2005 Arafura Games in Australia. [3] In 2007 she participated in her first World Championship in Patras where she was 26th in the team category with Odette Richard and Stephanie Sandler. [4]
At the 2009 African Championships she won gold in the All-Around. [5] In autumn at the World Championships in Mie, South Africa was 32nd in the team competition along with Julene Van Rooyen, Yvonne Garland and Grace Legote, she finished 110th in the All-Around. [6] [7] In October she competed at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, finished in 8th place in the All-Around final. [8] [9]
In 2010 she was again selected for the African Championship where she won bronze in the hoop final. [10] Mjekula also took part in the World Championships in Moscow, where she was 35th in the team competition with Julene Van Rooyen and Grace Legote, and she was 93rd in the All-Around. [11]

Aimee Van Rooyen is a South African individual rhythmic gymnast. She represents her nation at international competitions. She competed at world championships, including at the 2011 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships. She was selected for the 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2010 Summer Youth Olympics.

Lili Mizuno is an American rhythmic gymnast. She is the Pan American Championships 2021 Group All-around bronze medalist and 2017 All-around silver medalist. She competed in the group all-around at the 2020 Summer Olympics, finishing eleventh in qualification.
Caitlin Aileen Rooskrantz is a South African artistic gymnast. She represented South Africa at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was the first South African gymnast to qualify for the Olympics without a continental quota. Rooskrantz and teammate Naveen Daries became the first female gymnasts of color to represent South Africa and the Olympics. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games uneven bars bronze medalist, South Africa's first gymnastics medal at the Commonwealth Games since 2010. She is the 2022 African all-around champion and a two-time African uneven bars champion. She is a two-time uneven bars gold medalist on the FIG World Cup series. She represented South Africa at the 2024 Summer Olympics, where she was the flag bearer of her country along with the male sprinter Akani Simbine.
Gemma Natasha Frizelle is a Welsh rhythmic gymnast, who won the individual hoop event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She has won multiple medals at the Welsh and British Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, and also competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Marfa Ekimova is a Russian-born British rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games all-around champion and the two-time British national champion.
