Sigma Editions is an independent record label founded in 1998 by Rosy Parlane and Dion Workman (both ex-members of Thela). It specializes in electronic music and experimental music.
The label began in Melbourne, Australia, relocated to Rotterdam, Netherlands in 1999, then to London, United Kingdom in 2000. The label is based in New York City. The name is a reference to Alexander Trocchi's plan for a utopian artist colony.[ citation needed ]
Artists who have released material on Sigma Editions include Parmentier, Rosy Parlane, Dion Workman, Minit, David Haines,[ citation needed ] Julien Ottavi, Vladislav Delay, and Joyce Hinterding.

Rosy Parlane, also known as Paul Douglas, is an electronic musician from New Zealand who currently lives in Auckland, New Zealand. He was in the New Zealand trio Thela, then went on a solo career, as well as co-founding the Sigma Editions record label. He also played in the bands Empirical, Parmentier, Pit Viper, Plains, Rosenberg, Sakada, Codhaven and Amazing Broccoli.
Dion Workman is a musician from New Zealand. Throughout the mid-1990s he was a member of the trio Thela with Rosy Parlane and Dean Roberts. After Thela dissolved in the late 1990s, Workman and Parlane moved to Melbourne, Australia, and recorded under the name Parmentier, as well as founding the Sigma Editions label. The duo moved to Europe, before Workman eventually settled in New York City. In 2003 he won the Max Brand Prize for his composition Ching. Also in 2003 he curated Volume III of the Alegorical Power Series.

"It's All Coming Back to Me Now" is a power ballad written by Jim Steinman. According to Steinman, the song was inspired by Wuthering Heights, and was an attempt to write "the most passionate, romantic song" he could ever create. The Sunday Times posits that "Steinman protects his songs as if they were his children". Meat Loaf had wanted to record the song for years, but Steinman saw it as a "woman's song". Steinman won a court case, which prevented Meat Loaf from recording it. Girl group Pandora's Box went on to record it, and it was subsequently made famous through a cover by Celine Dion, which upset Meat Loaf because he was going to use it for a planned album with the working title Bat Out of Hell III.
Parmentier were a short-lived electronic music band from New Zealand, based in Australia. It was founded in 1996 by Rosy Parlane and Dion Workman. They toured, then released two albums in 1998.
Thela was a short-lived rock band from New Zealand. It was formed in 1992 and consisted of Dion Workman, Rosy Parlane, and Dean Roberts. They released two LPs on Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace label. Following the band's demise in 1996, all three members undertook solo projects. Parlane and Workman also worked together under the name Parmentier.
