DumDum Boys are a Norwegian rock band from Trondheim, formed in 1979 and originally known as Wannskrækk. The band is one of the most successful Norwegian rock acts of all time, and are considered one of the "big four" bands who popularized modern rock with Norwegian lyrics in the 1980s alongside Jokke & Valentinerne, Raga Rockers and DeLillos.
The Amanda Award is an award given annually at the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund, Norway, to promote and improve Norwegian film. The award originated in 1985, and has since 2005 been exclusively a film award. Winners are awarded a trophy by the Norwegian sculptor Kristian Kvakland, and the name—and theme—of the sculpture comes from a legendary local woman from the 1920s. The award ceremony is marked every year by a major, nationally televised event.
Fosen is a traditional district in Trøndelag, consisting of the municipalities Osen, Roan, Åfjord, Ørland, Indre Fosen, Orkland, Heim, Hitra and Frøya. The district is dominated by forested valleys, lakes, coastal cliffs but also shallow areas, and in the interior mountains reaching up to 675 m elevation. The western coast has many skerries and some islands, such as Stokkøya in Åfjord. There are some good salmon rivers, and sea eagles and other sea birds are very common along the coast, notably on the shallow area near Ørland (Grandefjæra). The west coast has mild winters, and some locations receive on average more than 2,000 mm of precipitation per year. Part of the Scandinavian coastal conifer forests are located in the valleys of the peninsula, and smaller areas are classified as temperate rainforest with 67 nature reserves. The largest nature reserve is Øyenskavelen, with many nature types including undisturbed forest, some of it classified as rainforest.
Store Norske Spitsbergen Kulkompani (SNSK), or simply Store Norske, is a Norwegian coal mining company based on the Svalbard archipelago. It was formed in 1916, after a Norwegian purchase of the American Arctic Coal Company (ACC).
Oddvar Einarson is a Norwegian movie director. He made his debut with the film Time i nyttelære in 1967 and has since directed a number of films, some of the best known being: Kampen om Mardøla (1972), Prognose Innerdalen (1981), X (1986), Karachi (1989) and Havet stiger (1990).

Hadia Tajik is a Pakistani-Norwegian jurist, journalist and politician from the Labour Party. She served as Minister of Labour and Social Inclusion from 2021 to 2022. She previously served as Minister of Culture from 2012 to 2013. She was 29 years of age at the time and became the youngest minister to serve in the Norwegian government. She is the first Cabinet member that is a Muslim. Tajik has served as a Member of Parliament representing Rogaland since 2017, and Oslo from 2009 to 2017. She was also the party's deputy leader from 2015 until 2022.
Une Aina Bastholm is a Norwegian politician and former leader of Green Party. She represented Oslo in the Storting from 2017 to 2021 and during this time was the only member of her party with a parliamentary seat. She was elected to represent Akershus following the 2021 election.
A Town Betrayed is a 2010 Norwegian documentary about the prelude of the Srebrenica massacre (1995), written and directed by journalists Ola Flyum and David Hebditch and produced by Fenris Films, NRK, among others. It was shown on NRK's Brennpunkt on 26 April 2011 and SVT on 28 August 2011.

Stig Joar Haugen, known professionally as Unge Ferrari and Stig Brenner, is a Norwegian rapper, singer, and songwriter. Haugen debuted in 2015 with the EP Til mine venner. It featured the breakthrough singles "Lianer" and "Hvis du vil" with Tomine Harket, and was nominated for Spellemannprisen in the "Urban" category as well as for P3 Gull 2015 in the Newcomer of the Year category.
The Alta landslide occurred on June 3, 2020 in the locality of Kråkneset, Talvik, in the municipality of Alta in northern Norway. The landslide developed on a marine clay substrate that had originally formed in the early Holocene epoch when the area was under sea level. This substrate is thought to have turned into quick clay leading to landslide.
Alexander Eik is a Norwegian director, screenwriter, series creator, and executive producer in the film company Cinenord AS, where he is also co-owner and head of script development. Eik made her feature film debut in 2003 with the blockbuster success

Resett, also known as Resett.no, was a Norwegian online newspaper, which publisheed news and op-ed content. The website was launched in 2017 with Helge Lurås as editor-in-chief. Resett aimed to "present cases from a different angle than established mass media, and to cover news that other media do not want to cover". The newspaper closed operations in December 2022.
The Pride Shooting in Oslo occurred on 25 June 2022, when two people were killed and twenty-one people were wounded in a mass shooting in Oslo, Norway. Police declared the incident as an "act of Islamist terrorism". The target may have been the Oslo LGBTQ pride event, which was hosted by the local branch of the Norwegian Organisation for Sexual and Gender Diversity.
Selda Ekiz is a Norwegian presenter on NRK and is a trained physicist. She grew up in Sande in Vestfold and her parents immigrated from Turkey in the 1970s.
Helene Spilling is a Norwegian professional dancer. She is best known for her appearances on Skal vi danse, the Norwegian edition of Dancing with the Stars. As a competitive dancer, she won the Norwegian dance championship 17 times, including the NM in the Latin and 10-dance categories, and represented Norway in the European and World Championships.
