Silla Carron, 62, is a British community activist from Camden Town, London, UK. [1]
Carron was prominent in leading residents' participation in improving their living environment and reducing crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB). She led campaigns in Camden, Plymouth, and Bristol, aiming at turning around sink estates with high levels of crime, vandalism and drug-taking. She has appeared in two series of the BBC One programme, [2] The Estate We're In in 2008 and 2010. The programme has won a number of broadcast industry awards including RTS Best Daytime Programme. [3] An article in The Daily Telegraph alleged that some scenes in the 2010 series of The Estate We're In were filmed in a different estate in Bristol to that claimed in the programme. [4]
Carron has received a number of awards in recognition of her community action work, including the 'Neighbour of the Year Award' in the 2006 Pride of Britain Awards. [5]

Knowle West is a neighbourhood situated on a low plateau in the south of Bristol, England, about 2 miles (3 km) from the centre of the city. Neighbours is an Australian television soap opera, which has aired since 18 March 1985. It was created by television executive Reg Watson. The Seven Network commissioned the show following the success of Watson's earlier soap Sons and Daughters. Although successful in Melbourne, Neighbours underperformed in the Sydney market and was cancelled by Seven four months after it began airing. It was immediately commissioned by rival Network Ten for a second production season, which began screening on 20 January 1986. Richard William Stanton, is a British civilian cave diver who specialises in rescues through the Cave Rescue Organisation and the British Cave Rescue Council. Stanton has lived in Coventry for many years, and was formerly a firefighter with the West Midlands Fire Service for 25 years prior to his retirement. In 2018 he played a leading role in the Tham Luang cave rescue and was awarded the George Medal in the Civilian Gallantry List.
