Simeon Mikkungwak is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut in the 2013 election to represent the electoral district of Baker Lake. [2] He was elected as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut on May 28, 2019. [1]

He resigned from the legislature in February 2020 for family reasons. [3]

Leona Aglukkaq is a Canadian politician. She was a member of the non-partisan Legislative Assembly of Nunavut representing the riding of Nattilik from 2004 until stepping down in 2008; then was a Conservative Member of Parliament representing the riding of Nunavut after winning the seat in the 2008 federal election. She was the first Conservative to win the seat, and only the second centre-right candidate ever to win it. Leona Aglukkaq is the first Inuk woman to serve in cabinet. 4th Nunavut Legislature

The 4th Legislative Assembly of Nunavut began after the 2013 general election on October 29, 2013. The election returned 20 of the 22 non-partisan members, with the results in two seats pending judicial recounts or follow-up by-elections due to a tied result on election day. After the official recount held November 5, 2013, the district of Rankin Inlet South was found to be still tied and Uqqummiut was won by two votes.

Paul Aarulaaq Quassa is a Canadian politician who served as the fourth Premier of Nunavut from November 2017 to June 2018. He currently serves as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut, representing Aggu since 2013.
