Sione Tahaafe (born 8 July 1958 [1] ), is a Tongan former rugby union player who played as number 8.
Tahaafe started his career in 1974, after he left Tonga to go in New Zealand, [2] and then in Australia where he played in the Shute Shield with Eastwood Rugby Club, with he won the Ken Catchpole Award in 1986. [3] Later, he moved in France to play for Stade Montchaninois until 1995, to play later for Stade Dijonnais Côte D'Or until 2000. [4] In 2001, Tahaafe retired to coach an under-19 team in Sens. [5]
Tahaafe debuted for Tonga in the 1987 Rugby World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, where he only played against Canada national rugby union team, on 24 May 1987, in Napier, with this match being his only international cap. [6]
The Pacific Islanders was a combined international rugby union team that played from 2004 to 2008. It represented Fiji, Samoa and Tonga; Niue and the Cook Islands also supplied players to the squad for their tour in 2004. The team did not play at Rugby World Cups, where each of the nations continued to represent themselves.

Villiami Sione "Willie" Tonga, also known by the nickname of ”Willie", is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Leigh Centurions in the Super League. Sione Vaiomounga is a Tongan rugby union footballer. He currently plays back-row in which position he represented Tonga at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Sione made his debut for the national side on 28 November 2009, where he opened his scoring count with a try against Portugal. Sione played for Toloa Old Boys, and he was the only player to be picked in Tonga's 30-man squad for the 2011 World Cup who played in Tonga's domestic division.
