Situka (A Call for Action) is a Ugandan feature film about two lovers: Amanio (Hellen Lukoma), an ambitious young woman with a passion for politics, who inspires her boyfriend Muganga (Bobi Wine), an industrious young daredevil, to stand up for justice in society. [1]
Situka explores relevant social issues, inspiring young people to be more involved in their communities, rather than expecting the government to provide for them. [2]
Muganga runs a prominent bar near the university. Admired by his peers, he struggles with his purpose and influence until his girlfriend Amanio's life is put at risk. Uganda's political and social services fail her, and Muganga is moved to fight for his love and his people. [3] [4]
Production of Situka started in 2015 and in May of the same year, the movie was released at the National Theater, Kampala, with the producer and director Hannington Bugingo praising Bobi Wine as the best Ugandan actor. [5] [6] [7] It was shot on location on Kalangala island district and Masese, Jinja district. [2] Bobi Wine read through the movie script once on the first day of shooting. The film was produced with the support of youth advocacy NGO Twaweza, with the aim of spreading the message that youths should take action on issues that affect them.
Baadasssss! is a 2003 American biographical drama film, written, produced, directed by, and starring Mario Van Peebles. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, known by his stage name Bobi Wine, is a Ugandan politician, singer, and actor. He is a former Member of Parliament for Kyadondo County East constituency in Wakiso District, in Uganda's Central Region. He also leads the National Unity Platform political party. In June 2019, he announced his candidacy for the 2021 Ugandan presidential election. He participated in the 2021 election where he lost to the incumbent Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, a result which Kyagulanyi and a large section of the public strongly disputed.

He rose to fame with his movie Mukajanga, a story about the team of Buganda royals who were killed for their Christian faith by the Kabaka Mwanga II of Buganda. General elections were held in Uganda on 14 January 2021 to elect the President and the Parliament. The Electoral Commission announced Incumbent President Yoweri Museveni, who has ruled the country since 1986, as the winner with 58.64% of the votes although the US State Department qualified the electoral process as "fundamentally flawed" and Africa Elections Watch said they observed irregularities. The official voter turnout was 57% but is questioned since 409 polling stations have been announced to have 100% voter turnout.

He is the founder of a Afri Talent, a Ugandan drama group and veteran radio presenter at 88.8 CBS in Kampala. He has played mostly military roles in films like The Last King of Scotland (film) (Masanga), Sometimes in April, The Silent Army and The Mercy of the Jungle (Major). He was listed #1 on the list of the best ten Ugandan comedians by Big Eye in 2015.
Barbara Kyagulanyi is a Ugandan philanthropist and author. She is the wife to Ugandan pop artist and politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, alias Bobi Wine. She is the author of "Golden Memories of a Village Belle" published in 2012.
