Skovlunde is a small Danish town in Ballerup Municipality and is a suburb of Copenhagen (12 km west of downtown Copenhagen). Skovlunde has approximately 12.000 inhabitants and is on the Copenhagen S-train network. Ballerup Municipality has approximately 50.000 inhabitants.
The town was founded in the Middle Ages and first appears in written material (a letter) dating back to 11 November 1249.
Skovlunde consist of two parts, the older Gammel Skovlunde where you can find housing dating back from the seventeenth century and up to the eighteenth century. The other part of Skovlunde is the product of people relocating from Copenhagen in the 1960s and a lot of newly built residential areas.

Ballerup Kommune is a municipality in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. It is located approximately 15 kilometers from central Copenhagen. The municipality covers an area of 34.09 km², and has a population of 48,231. It is also the name of the municipal seat, Ballerup.
Glostrup Kommune is a suburban municipality and town in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) approx. 10 km west of Copenhagen in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 13.31 km², and has a total population of 23,128 (2020). Its Zip code (Postnummer) is 2600. Its mayor as of 2010 is John Engelhardt, a member of the Liberal Party (Venstre) political party. The municipality was established in 1841 following the municipal reforms of the 1840s, ranking as a parish municipality (sognekommune) until 1950 when suburbanisation of Copenhagen inhabited the municipality and the status was changed to town municipality (købstadskommune). From 1947 to 1960 the population in the municipality doubled due to the expanding suburbs of Copenhagen, reaching the municipality in the post-war period. Glostrup was designated as a new suburb along the western Tåstrup-finger of the Copenhagen Finger Plan of 1947.
The urban area of Copenhagen, lying mostly in the Capital Region of Denmark but also in Region Zealand, consist of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg municipalities and the former Copenhagen County. In all, it consists of 18 municipalities, and except parts of Ballerup, Greve, Ishøj, former Søllerød and former Værløse, mentioned with their population included from 2007. Ishøj and Greve Strand are included for the first time since 1999. As of 1 January 2016, this area had a population of 1,280,371. Statistics Denmark states that the definition of the urban area is based on UN's 200m definition.
The Capital Region of Denmark is the easternmost administrative region of Denmark. The Capital Region has 29 municipalities. The regional council consists of 41 elected politicians. The chairperson as of 1 August 2021 is Lars Gaardhøj. He is a member of Social Democrats.
H is an S-train service in Metropolitan Copenhagen, Denmark that serves mainly the outer part of Frederikssundbanen, running partially non-stop between Ballerup and Flintholm. It is one of the six base lines of the S-train network, running every 20 minutes all days from about 5:00 until 1:00. It is the only base line in the network whose frequency is not doubled in the daytime; instead approximate 10-minute service on the outer part of the radial is provided by extending some trains on service C from Ballerup to Frederikssund. On Friday and Saturday nights there is also a 30 minutes service throughout the night.
Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold, commonly known as BSF, is an association football club based in the town of Ballerup, Denmark, that competes in the Denmark Series, the fourth tier of the Danish football league system. Founded in 2010 as a merger between Ballerup Boldklub and Skovlunde IF, the club play at their home ground Ballerup Idrætspark. Their colours are red and white. BSF is affiliated to the local football association, DBU Zealand. The women's team is one of the strongest in Denmark, competing in the highest tier Elitedivisionen.

Måløv is a suburb within Ballerup Municipality, closely attached to Smørumnedre approx. 20 km. west of Copenhagen, in the Capital region, with a population of 8,797 (2020). The suburb is made up by single-family houses and a housing project. 93% of the inhabitants are native Danes. The suburb is connected with the S-train and Måløv station serves commuters from both Måløv and Smørumnedre. Måløv is considered to be founded in 1193.
Ballerup is a Danish town, seat of the Ballerup Municipality, in the Region Hovedstaden. There are approximately 25 schools in Ballerup Municipality. Ballerup has its own educational institution specialized in the study, training and research of music.
Frederikssund is a Danish town, seat of the Frederikssund Municipality, in the Region Hovedstaden with a population of 16,614. It received the status of market town in 1810. The town is famous for its annual Viking Games as well as for the J.F. Willumsen museum. Since 1935, it has been connected to Hornsherred via the Kronprins Frederik Bridge.
The Finger Plan is an urban plan from 1947 which provides a strategy for the development of the Copenhagen metropolitan area, Denmark. According to the plan, Copenhagen is to develop along five 'fingers', centred on S-train commuter rail lines, which extend from the 'palm', that is the dense urban fabric of central Copenhagen. In between the fingers, green "wedges" are intended to provide land for agriculture and recreational purposes.

Harrestrup Å is an approximately 20 km long stream through the western suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark. It rises at Harrestrup Mose in Vestskoven woodland on the border between Albertslund and Ballerup and flows through Damhus Lake and several parks on its way to the Øresund at Kalvebod Beach in Valby Park.
Basketballklubben BMS or commonly known as BMS is a professional basketball club based in the locality Ballerup–Måløv–Skovlunde, Denmark. BMS plays its home games at Rosenlundskolen in Skovlunde, in Ballerup Super Arena or in Højager Hall in Ballerup. BMS has on several occasions worked together with neighboring club Herlev Basketball Club and has among other things in season 2008–09 a joint 1st division for men, where the objective was to move up in the top row, Women's League.
Frederikssundsvej is a major artery in the North-West, Brønshøj and Husum districts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It begins at Nørrebro Station as the direct continuation of Nørrebrogade and changes its name to Herlev Hovedgade and then Skovlunde Byvej, Ballerup Byvej and Måløv Byvej before reaching the town of Frederikssund.

Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold (BSF) is a women's football club from Ballerup. It is the female team of Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold. They play at Ballerup Idrætspark in Ballerup, Copenhagen, which has a capacity of 4,000. In 2010, the two neighbouring clubs Skovlunde IF and Ballerup IF merged into Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold (BSF). The women's team plays in the Danish top league Elitedivisionen. The club also has children's teams for boys and girls and a men's team in the fourth-tier Danmarksserien.
