Sky Full of Elephants is a novel by American writer Cebo Campbell, published in 2024 by Simon & Schuster. [1] [2] [3] [4] It tells the story of a Black man who lives in a world in which all White people are gone. [5] [6] The book was featured in Aspen Words Literary Prize's 2025 long list. [7] The book received a starred review in Publishers Weekly , which wrote that it evoked Cormac McCarthy's novel The Road and that its plot was a "stunning allegory" that would spark much discussion. [8] It received a more critical review in Kirkus Reviews , which described it as a "plodding" novel weighed down by its "often too-florid prose and unrealistic dialogue". [1]
