The film premiered at the 80th edition of the Venice Film Festival, in the Venice International Critics' Week sidebar. [1] [2] [3] It was later screened at the BFI London Film Festival and at the Stockholm International Film Festival. [4]

The film will be theatrically released in United Kingdom and Ireland on 9 August 2024. [5]

Reception

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes , 100% of 12 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 6.7/10. [6] The Guardian called it a "creepy, distinctive British feature" and a "pointed meditation on racial and cultural identity, dressed up as a kind of emo SF tale." They awarded the film four stars out of five. [7]
