Skycamefalling is an American metalcore band from Long Island, New York. Formed in 1996, the band released three EPs and one full-length album from 1996 to 2003. After going through several lineup changes (mainly several drummers and bassists), the band eventually split up in 2003. After a seven-year break, four of the five founding members reformed the band in 2010.
Skycamefalling formed in 1996 and self-released a four-song demo cassette entitled A Penny for Your Confessions. The demo went on to sell over a thousand copies and the band was contacted by Belgian record label Good Life Recordings, whom the band had sent a demo tape addressed to the owner Edward Verhaeghe. Early influences include Converge, Cave In, Glassjaw, and Pantera. The band entered Brass Giraffe studios in New York City in May 1998 to begin recording their label debut EP. Recording ended in June that year, and To Forever Embrace The Sun was released in 1998. After the release, the band quickly began establishing a fanbase in both the United States as well as Europe and Tzompanakis formed his own record label, One Day Savior Recordings. [1]
By the year 2000, their relationship with Good Life had soured and Skycamefalling signed with New Jersey–based record label Ferret Music. 10.21, the band's only full-length album, was released in November 2000 through Ferret and was well received by both fans and critics. Touring relentlessly for nearly two years as well as a brief stint on Warped Tour, Skycamefalling decided to go their separate ways, citing a lack of interest being the main reason. [2] The band played two final Long Island shows at the Local Seven (one under the name Embrace The Sun in which the band played To Forever Embrace the Sun from start to finish) as well as their last show at Hellfest in the summer of 2003. Their final self-titled EP, released posthumously in 2003, [3] left their fans with two final songs ("Thera" and "The Elephant Graveyard"). These tracks were early, rough recordings for songs that were to be on 10.21 but since the band was breaking up, they gave Ferret Music the rights to release the songs because of left-over debt that the band had yet to fulfill.
In 2003 guitarist Cameron Keym formed The Sleeping along with bassist Sal Mignano and drummer Joe Zizzo. Christopher Tzompanakis, Matt Woisin, and Rob Holohan formed Farewell Tide which disbanded shortly after formation. Christopher Tzompanakis went on to briefly front Spectators before reforming Farewell Tide in mid-2009 with Brian Parker, Skycamefalling's original drummer. In 2011 Christopher Tzompanakis joined the Long Island band Divider.
Four of the bands founding members, with the exception of John Clerkin, reunited the band in early 2010. [2] [3] The first reunion show was supposed to take place at the Long Island Fest 2010. [4] However, just before the show, the guitarist injured his hand and the band was forced to postpone the reunion show. Skycamefalling and Long Island Fest issued an apology to fans and stated intentions to play the show later in 2010. [5]
The band did however reform, with the lineup mentioned above, at Long Island Fest 2011 and went on to perform at Webster Hall in July 2011 with Harvest & Burnt By The Sun. They later announced a tenth anniversary weekend of their album 10.21 with Long Island's Incendiary in October 2011. The band played 10.21 in its entirely on October 21, 2011, along with shows in both Poughkeepsie, NY and Warren, NJ. The band also reunited on February 23, 2018, and played a show at Amityville Music Hall in Amityville, NY.
Bayside is an American punk rock band from the Bayside, Queens neighborhood of New York City, formed in 2000 by lead vocalist Anthony Raneri. The group also consists of lead guitarist Jack O'Shea, bassist Nick Ghanbarian, and drummer Chris Guglielmo.

Battlelore are a Finnish heavy metal band from Lappeenranta, founded in 1999 by guitarist Jyri Vahvanen and bassist Miika Kokkola. The name derives from the union of the words 'battle' and 'folklore'. Many of Battlelore's lyrics concern J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth sagas and their stage costumes and live shows are largely inspired by the themes and characters of fantasy literature. The band had many changes of personnel during their twelve years of activity and had a long hiatus after the completion of the tour supporting their latest release Doombound in 2011. In January 2016 they announced that they would be performing at Metal Female Voices Fest XIII in October 2016.
Bella Morte is a gothic rock band formed in 1996 in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States. They incorporate elements of metal, dark wave, deathrock, alternative, and synthpop. The band's name means "Beautiful Death" in Italian language. According to the band's vocalist, Andy Deane, the name was chosen to suggest that "beauty can be found in tragedy", which is a re-occurring theme in Bella Morte's albums.
Crime in Stereo is a Long Island-based hardcore punk band. The group released four full-length albums and a compilation, recording for the labels Blackout!, Nitro, and Bridge Nine before disbanding in 2010 and subsequently re-forming in 2012. Since 2012, the group have performed sporadically, released a song on a compilation in 2021, and eventually released their fifth full-length album, House & Trance in October 2023 on Pure Noise Records.
Red Sparowes is an American, Los Angeles-based post-rock band, comprising current and former members of Isis, Marriages, The Nocturnes, Halifax Pier, Angel Hair and Pleasure Forever. Their sound is characteristic of soundscape-influenced experimental rock, with an otherwise uncommon extensive use of a pedal steel guitar.

They released two albums and two extended plays before disbanding.
The Sleeping is an American post-hardcore band from Long Island, New York, United States, initially active from 2003 to 2012 before announcing their permanent reunion in 2023. They are known for their emotive lyrics, unpredictable sound, and dynamic live shows. Their music has been featured in video games including Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam for the Wii, Madden NFL 07, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Guitar Hero: World Tour, and FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage. They released their fourth studio album, The Big Deep, on September 28, 2010. The band announced their permanent reunion and a new album during a performance at Saint Vitus on February 18, 2023.

Morning Again is an American metalcore band from Florida. They were known for their metallic sound as well as for their straight edge, vegan, anti-religious and anti-government ideals. The band was a "sister band" to Culture, often switching members after one had left the other. Several members went on to play in other bands such as As Friends Rust and Dead Blue Sky. The band was originally from Cooper City, Florida, but moved to Coral Springs in 1998 before breaking up later that year. After playing several reunion shows over the years, the band released a new EP in 2018.

One Day Savior Recordings was an American independent record label founded in 1997 by Christopher Tzompanakis. The record label was most prominent in the hardcore and indie rock communities, releasing metalcore, post-hardcore and emo by such bands as Boys Night Out, Dearly Departed, Embodyment, Hopesfall, The Juliana Theory, The Killing Tree, The Movielife, Onelinedrawing, Paulson, Skycamefalling, The Sleeping and Tabula Rasa. One Day Savior Recordings was originally headquartered in Williston Park, Long Island, New York, where it remained until it was put under hiatus in 2008. The company was eventually sold to Tommy Melissen in 2010, its operations relocating to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Under Melissen's ownership, the company lasted a brief two years and was officially put to rest in 2014 after two years of inactivity.
Love is Red was an American melodic hardcore band hailing from Nashville, Tennessee. The band formed in 2000 In Florence, Alabama with the original line up of Rob Mcfeters (vocals), Dane Taylor (drums), Adam Riser (guitar), Roger Kilburn (guitar), and Kinsman Mackay (bass). After their first demo, the band released their debut full-length record, All Thats Ahead Points to Forever, on the Kansas City based indie record label Recorse Records. After a few southeastern tours, Rob Mcfeters quit the band. The band recruited Hunter Weeks on vocals. The band then re-recorded some demo tracks and released a split EP on Recorse Records with Nashville Band, Olivers Army in 2002.
Dr. Acula is an American deathcore band from Long Island, New York. Formed in 2005, the group has released six studio albums and one EP. They were signed to Victory Records at the time of their initial disbandment and are currently signed to Silent Pendulum Records. The band is known for the use of soundclips from movies and TV shows as an accent to their songs. Their band name is derived from an alternative perspective from the name of Dracula, which was originally part of a joke coined by comedian Mitch Hedberg. After disbanding in 2012, the original line up reunited in late 2019 and released their 6th album, Dr. Acula in September of 2022.
Wuthering Heights is a Danish-Swedish heavy metal band with a somewhat eclectic musical style which falls in somewhere between progressive metal, "folk music-into-heavy metal" and power metal, along with "a mixture of Neoclassical Metal, Melodic Speed Metal and various progressive elements."
10.21 is the only studio album released by American metalcore group Skycamefalling, released on November 11, 2000, through Ferret Music. The album's title is named after the date vocalist Christopher Tzompanakis had to end a relationship with a woman, October 21. A vinyl edition of the album was planned to be released sometime in April 2001, however it never surfaced.
