Jonah Tali Lomu was a New Zealand professional rugby union player. Richard Hugh McCaw is a retired New Zealand professional rugby union player. Dimitri Yachvili Markarian is a French former rugby union footballer who played as a scrum-half for Biarritz and France. Keven Filipo Mealamu is a former New Zealand rugby union footballer. He played at hooker for the Blues in Super Rugby, Auckland in the National Provincial Championship, and the New Zealand national team. He was part of the Blues team that won the 2003 Super 12 title, the third for the franchise. He was a key member of 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cup winning teams, becoming one of only 21 players who have won the Rugby World Cup on multiple occasions.
The Stade Ernest-Wallon is a multi-purpose stadium located in the Sept Deniers district of Toulouse, in southwestern France. Described as a "temple to the oval ball", it is the home ground for the rugby union club Stade Toulousain and the rugby league club Toulouse Olympique.

Duane Darrin Mann is a New Zealand former rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s and coached in the 2000s. Mann played his club football for New Zealand sides Glenora, North Harbour, Auckland Warriors and Counties Manukau, as well as for English club, Warrington.
Maxime Médard is a former French rugby union player who plays his club rugby for French club Stade Toulousain in Top 14 and France internationally. He can play as both a full-back and on the wing and is described by assistant national team coach Émile Ntamack as an "incredible talent" that, during the 2010–11 season, was finally "realizing his potential". Medard is a two-time winner of the Heineken Cup and, in 2008, won the Top 14 for the first time. Also referred to as 'The French Wolverine.'
Denis Charvet is a former French rugby union player. He played as a centre. Denis Charvet played for Stade Toulousain and Racing Club de France. He earned his first national cap on March 1, 1986 against Wales at Cardiff. He played all the five games at the 1987 Rugby World Cup, where France lost the final to New Zealand by 29-9.
