Ambwene Allen Yessayah, better known by his stage name as A.Y., is a Tanzanian bongo flava artist. He was born on July 5, 1982, in Mtwara, Southern part of Tanzania. He began his career with the group S.O.G. in 1996. He decided to go solo in 2002. A.Y. is among the first bongo flava artists to commercialize hip hop. He was member of the musical group known as East Coast Army, but now he is no longer part of the group. He is still releasing songs and albums collaborating most with an ex-coast artist Mwana Fa. A.Y is better known not only known but termed as one of the most if not the first Tanzanian artist to have connections with other famous musicians from different countries in Africa and across the continent.
The Pied Piper of Hamelin is an American ninety-minute musical film in color, originally made as a television special and first shown by NBC on Tuesday, November 26, 1957, as one of their Thanksgiving Week offerings for that year. It preempted that evening's telecasts of The Nat King Cole Show and The Eddie Fisher Show. Based on the famous poem of the same name by Robert Browning and using the music of Edvard Grieg arranged by Pete King with special lyrics by Hal Stanley and Irving Taylor, it starred Van Johnson, Claude Rains, Lori Nelson, Jim Backus, and Kay Starr. It was directed by Broadway veteran Bretaigne Windust. In a direct nod to Browning's poem, nearly all of the dialogue in The Pied Piper of Hamelin was written in rhyme, much of it directly lifted from the poem.

Anantana Avantara is a 1989 Indian Kannada-language adult comedy film directed by and starring Kashinath. It was the debut movie of the actress Anjali in a full-fledged lead role. The movie is a light–hearted comedy about the ordeals of a newly married man. It set a trend in the comic films in Kannada and established Kashinath as a comic story teller. However, at the time of release, the movie met with several controversies primarily for the taboo subject on which the story was built. Some even considered the movie to have made a negative impact on the youngsters of that time. The movie also introduced Upendra as the lyrics writer and assistant director who also appeared as Kamadeva in one of the songs. The movie was dubbed in Telugu in the same year as Vintha Sobhanam. The movie was remade in Telugu in 2006 as Please Sorry Thanks.

The fifth IFMAR - 1:10 Electric Off-Road World Championship was held in Basildon in Essex.The 2wd class had a popular win being won by Brian Kinwald from America racing an Associated RC10. Gene Husting of Associated described how the track was deteriorating every day and how team order were implemented for the 3rd final race "Brian's the only one who has a chance to win. He's starting in 6th position. He needs to win this round. If he comes up on you, give him plenty of room to pass. You are, of course, free to race everyone else on the track.". The 4WD was won by Masami Hirosaka of JPN racing a Yokomo there were strong showing for the two home British driver racing Schumacher Cat cars the brand to which Masami won his first title with.
