The Slovakia women's national ball hockey team is the women's national ball hockey team of Slovakia, and a member of the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF).

History

The team has competed in every Women’s Ball Hockey World Championship since its inception in 2007, which was hosted in the Slovakian city of Ratingen. Slovakia would also serve as host country in 2011, with games contested in Bratislava. At the 2011 Worlds, Slovakia would capture its first-ever gold medal, defeating Canada in a 1-0 final.

Awards and honors

The 2013 Ball Hockey World Championship was the tenth ball hockey world championship held by ISBHF in St.John's, Canada. Slovakia won their second title. Canada captured the bronze medal with a 7 – 3 victory over the Portugal. The Canada women's national ball hockey team captured the gold medal in women's play, avenging the silver medal from 2011.

The 2017 Ball Hockey World Championship will be the 12th ball hockey world championship, and will be held in Pardubice, Czech Republic. The tournament began on 1 June 2017, and the gold medal game was played on 10 June 2017. Slovakia entered the tournament as the defending champions. The Canada women's national ball hockey team with the bronze medal in women's play, while the United States qualified for the gold medal game for the first time in tournament history.

The 2011 IIHF World Women's Championships was held in April 2011 in Zürich and Winterthur, Switzerland. This was the 13th women's championship run by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The United States were the defending champions and defended their title, capturing their third straight gold medal by defeating Canada 3–2 in overtime on a goal by Hilary Knight. IIHF council member Monique Scheier-Schneider presided over the events.
