The Smart Forspeed is a concept car first shown to the public at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show by the Smart division of Daimler AG.

It is a two-seater electric roadster, powered by a rear-mounted 40 bhp (30 kW; 41 PS) electric motor with a 7 bhp (5 kW; 7 PS) overboost function. The electric motor draws power from a 16.5 kWh lithium-ion power cell [1] and the Forspeed has a claimed a maximum range of 84 miles (135.2 km), and a top speed of 75 mph (121 km/h). [2]

Charging of the power cell is by a 220 volt port which is located between the rear light clusters, and can be charged to 80% in 45 minutes. The design of the Forspeed includes solar cells incorporated into the wind deflector.

The Audi e-tron is a series of electric and hybrid cars shown by Audi from 2009 onwards. In 2012 Audi unveiled a plug-in hybrid version, the A3 Sportback e-tron, released to retail customers in Europe in August 2014, and slated for the U.S. in 2015. A decade after the unveiling of the first e-tron concept at the 2009 International Motor Show Germany, Audi's first fully electric e-tron SUV went into production in 2019.

Some vehicles listed were concept vehicles, which utilised an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, and were used for research and development (R&D) for potential future use of the technology into possible series production. The McLaren P1 is a limited-production mid-engine plug-in hybrid sports car produced by British automobile manufacturer McLaren Automotive. Debuted at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, sales of the P1 began in the United Kingdom in October 2013 and all 375 units were sold out by November. Production ended in early December 2015. The United States accounted for 34% of the units and Europe for 26%.
