Smeerenburgfjorden is a fjord in Albert I Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It has a length of about twenty kilometers and a width of about four kilometers. The fjord is named after the old whaling settlement Smeerenburg, which was situated at the southern part of Amsterdam Island. [1] The fjord is located between the peninsulas of Vasahalvøya and Reuschhalvøya, [2] [3] and connects westwards through the straits of Danskegattet and Sørgattet. [1] The Smeerenburgbreen glacier debouches into the head of the fjord. [4]
Magdalenefjorden is an 8 km long and up to 5 km wide fjord between Reuschhalvøya and Hoelhalvøya, Albert I Land, on the west coast of Spitsbergen, the largest island in the Svalbard archipelago. It is large enough to accommodate even the largest of cruise ships which are even able to turn through 180 degrees in the fjord. On the south shore of the fjord is the bay Gullybukta.
Liefdefjorden is a fjord in Haakon VII Land on Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It has a length of about 30 km (19 mi). Former names of the fjord include Baye d'Amour, Kjærlighedsbugten, Porto detto l'Amato, Liefde Bay and Love Bay. Monacobreen debouches into the fjord. At the northern side of the outer part of the fjord is the peninsula Reinsdyrflya. Liefde is Dutch for "love" and the fjord is possible named after a ship "de Liefde".
Möllerfjorden is a 9 kilometer long fjord branch of Krossfjorden at the northwestern side of Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The fjord is named after astronomer Didrik Magnus Axel Möller. Möllerfjorden is separated from Lilliehöökfjorden by the peninsula and mountain ridge Kong Haakons Halvøy.
Lilliehöökfjorden is a 14 kilometer long fjord branch of Krossfjorden in Albert I Land at the northwestern side of Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The fjord is named after Gustaf Bertil Lilliehöök.
Kong Haakons Halvøy is a 12 kilometer long peninsula and mountain ridge in Haakon VII Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The ridge forms a peninsula in the fjord Krossfjorden, and separates the fjord branches Lilliehöökfjorden and Möllerfjorden. The peninsula is named after King Haakon VII of Norway.
Mitrahalvøya is a 23 kilometer long peninsula in Albert I Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The peninsula separates the fjord Krossfjorden and its western branch Lilliehöökfjorden from the sea.
St. Jonsfjorden is a fjord in Oscar II Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It has a length of 21 kilometer, and opens westwards into the strait of Forlandsundet. Several glaciers debouche into the fjord, including Gaffelbreen and Konowbreen from the north, a merge of Osbornebreen, Devikbreen, Vintervegen, Paulbreen and Bukkebreen at the bottom, and Vegardbreen, Charlesbreen and Bullbreen from the south.
Grøndalen is a valley in Nordenskiöld Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It has a length of about 19 kilometers. The valley stretches westwards from the mountain pass Grøndalspasset, and debouches into Grønfjorden, at the eastern side of the fjord. The river Grøndalselva flows through the valley.
Adlersparrefjorden is a fjord of Nordaustlandet, Svalbard, an eastern branch of Duvefjorden at the northern coast. It has a length of about 10 kilometers, and has three branches. A land tongue of 0.5 kilometers separates the fjord from Finn Malmgren Fjord at the eastern side of Glenhalvøya. Adlersparrefjorden is named after naval officer Axel Adlersparre.
Finn Malmgren Fjord is a fjord in Orvin Land at Nordaustlandet, Svalbard, between Glenhalvøya and Bergstrømodden. A land tongue of 0.5 kilometers separates the fjord from Adlersparrefjorden. Finn Malmgrenfjorden is named after Arctic explorer Finn Malmgren.

The peninsula is filled with ruggy and pointed mountains and glacier filled valleys. The highest peak is Stortinden.
Svitjodbreen is a glacier in Albert I Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The glacier is located centrally on the peninsula of Vasahalvøya. It debouches northwards into the head of Fuglefjorden, and has also several offsprings in other directions.
Reuschhalvøya is a peninsula in Albert I Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The peninsula is named after geologist Hans Henrik Reusch. It is located south of Smeerenburgfjorden and Bjørnfjorden, and north of Magdalenefjorden. The largest glacier of the peninsula is Scheibreen, while Smeerenburgbreen is located east of the peninsula.
Woodfjorddalen is a valley in Andrée Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It forms a southeastward continuation of the fjord Woodfjorden. The upper part of the valley is covered by the glacier Abrahamsenbreen. At the lower part of the valley is the flat sand and clay area Poninskiøyra and the hill Tantalushaugen. A side valley to the south is Piræusdalen, six kilometers from the head of Woodfjorden. North of the valley is the mountain group Vaktarfjella, with a length of about eleven kilometers.
Danskegattet is a strait in Albert I Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It is located between Danes Island to the south and Amsterdam Island to the north, leading into Smeerenburgfjorden. A common anchorage is west of Virgohamna.
St. Laurentiusbukta is a bay in Albert I Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The bay is located on Reuschhalvøya, east of Scheibukta, at the southern side of Bjørnfjorden. It is named after the saint Laurentius.
Bjørnfjorden is a fjord in Albert I Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The fjord is located between Reuschhalvøya and Vasahalvøya, and is an inner branch of Smeerenburgfjorden. Smeerenburgbreen debouches into the fjord. At the south side of the fjord are Scheibukta and St. Laurentiusbukta.
Lilliehöökbreen is a glacier complex in Albert I Land and Haakon VII Land at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. It has a length of about 22 kilometers. The glacier debouches into Lilliehöökfjorden, and calved icebergs may fill large parts of the fourteen kilometer long fjord.
