Smugglers' Songs (French : Les Chants de Mandrin) is a 2011 French adventure film written and directed by Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche. [1] [2] It won the 2011 Prix Jean Vigo award. [3]
Following the death of the notorious smuggler Louis Mandrin his old friends walk in his footsteps and make him popular by composing and singing songs about him.

Written by Adam Brooks, the film is about a woman who flies to France to confront her straying fiancé and gets into trouble when the charming crook seated next to her uses her to smuggle a stolen diamond necklace. French Kiss was filmed on location in Paris, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur région of southeastern France, and Cannes. The film was released in the United States on May 5, 1995, and received mixed reviews. The film was a success and went on to earn a total worldwide gross of $101,982,854.

Folimage is a French animation studio, based in Bourg-lès-Valence, Drôme, France. It was founded in 1981 by Jacques-Rémy Girerd. The studio produces animation films for cinema and TV. In 1999, the company founded an animation school, La Poudrière, also in Valence. In 2009, Folimage and La Poudrière moved to La Cartoucherie, a former munitions factory in Bourg-lès-Valence.
The Prix Jean Vigo is an award in the French cinema given annually since 1951 to a French film director, in homage to Jean Vigo. Since 1960, the award has been given to both a director of a feature film and to a director of a short film. The award is usually given to a young director, for their independent spirit and stylistic originality.

Les Armateurs is a French film production company focused on animation. It was founded by Didier Brunner in 1994 and is based in Paris. It produces feature films, short films and television series. Brunner served as the president of the company until 2014, when he was succeeded by Reginald de Guillebon. He retains a role as consultant.

Mandrin is a 1962 French-Italian historical adventure film directed by Jean-Paul Le Chanois and starring Georges Rivière, Silvia Monfort, Jeanne Valérie and Dany Robin. It is based on the life of the celebrated smuggler and brigand Louis Mandrin who operated during the reign of Louis XV.
