Civil Aviation and Airpots Authority of Somaliland (CAAA; Somali : Hay'adda Duulista iyo Madaarrada) functions as the regulatory body for all aviation related activities in Somaliland. the current Manager is Abdi Mohamed Rodol. [1]

The Petrella Airport was the first international airport in Italian Somalia. It was opened in 1928 -just 3 miles south of Mogadishu- with the name "Enrico Petrella" in honor of an Italian pilot who died a few years before in the same airport of Italian Mogadiscio. In 1941 the airport was partially destroyed during WW2 and remained inactive for some years as a civilian airport: only military airplanes used it. In 1950 was reopened as a civilian airport by the Italian authorities of the ONU Fiduciary Mandate.

The National Displacement and Refugee Agency (NDRA) is a Somaliland government agency established in 2017 by President Muse Bihi Abdi, it is responsible to protect and assist refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and as well as returnees from abroad. The Manager who serves as the head of the NDRA, is appointed by the President. The current Manager is Abdikarim Ahmed Mohamed.

Ali Mohamed Warancadde is a Somali politician. He formerly served as the Minister of Interior of Somaliland in Silanyo's administration, he also served as the Minister of Civil Aviation of Somaliland in Riyale's administration.

Mohamoud Hashi Abdi, commonly known as Ina Xaashi, is a Somali politician, who served as the Minister of Civil Aviation and Air Transport of Somaliland from July 2010 to October 2015. In October 2015, after the resignation of several cabinet ministers, he was appointed as Minister of Presidency by then president Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud (Siilaanyo). He also served as the Mayor of Burao from 1991 to 2002.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Somaliland–United States relations</span> Bilateral relations

Somaliland and the United States do not have official diplomatic relations. While Somaliland operates a representative liaison office in Washington, D.C., it does not have formal diplomatic status under the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. Both countries do maintain contact as delegations from both sides have met in the past.
