Like the SZ, the first C series featured a 1280x800 (16:10 widescreen) 13.3" LCD screen, plus Core 2 Duo CPUs; later 15.5" models were released. [3] [ failed verification ] As a consumer laptop, a variety of colours were offered, while compared with the SZ, the C series was heavier, and lacked the switchable graphics option, instead offering either lower-power Intel GMA 950 or faster Nvidia GeForce 7400 graphics. A crocodile-skin option was offered in Japan.
The C series was superseded by the SR series.

The Sony Vaio FZ series is a discontinued model of laptop sold by Sony in 2007. It replaced the Sony Vaio FE series, featuring Intel Core 2 Duo rather than Core Duo CPU, and other improvements. It was criticised for the low-resolution 1280x800 15.4-inch screen, poor battery life and its 2.7 kg weight. It was, however, praised for its display quality and the inclusion of Blu-ray drives on more expensive models.

Since then, the original MacBook's discontinuation in 2011, and lowered prices on subsequent iterations, made the Air Apple's entry-level notebook.
