Sornsawan "Opal" Ho from Thailand (born January 18, 1993) served as an elected volunteer member of the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) from 2012 to 2015, chairperson of the Young Adult Members Group. [1]

She has been active in Scouting since 2007, and was one of the organizers of the 8th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Youth Forum in Suncheon, Korea in 2015. She is now working on developing a Scout campsite in Thailand into a Scout Center of Excellence for Nature and Environment (SCENES), one of World Scouting's environmental initiatives. [2]

She attended Suankularb Wittayalai Nonthaburi School, studies law at the Faculty of Law of Thammasat University, and serves as President of the Thailand International Young Scout Club.

Asia-Pacific Scout Region (World Organization of the Scout Movement)

The Asia-Pacific Scout Region is the divisional office of the World Scout Bureau of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, headquartered in Makati, Philippines, with satellite offices in Australia and Japan. The Asia-Pacific Region services Scouting in the land area of Asia south of Siberia and east of Central Asia, and the bulk of the Pacific Basin, with the exception of the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau, which are under the Interamerican Region by way of the Aloha Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Myanmar Scouts Association

The Myanmar Scout Association is the national Scouting organization in Myanmar. It has about 21,007 members.

The Korea Scout Association is the national Scouting association of South Korea.

Cambodia Scouts

The National Association of Cambodian Scouts (NACS) is the national Scouting organization in Cambodia. It was founded in September 2005 through the merger of the Scout Organization of Cambodia and the Cambodian Scouts and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) on 1 July 2008. The coeducational association serves 5,404 members as of 2011.

National Scout Organization of Thailand

The National Scout Organization of Thailand is the national Scouting organization of Thailand. Scouting was founded in Thailand in 1911 and was among the charter members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1922. It is currently regulated by the Scouting Act, BE 2551 (2008). The organization has 828,248 members and is open to boys and girls.

The Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) is a network of member committees composed of individuals and institutions dedicated to promoting cooperation across the Asia Pacific region, headquartered in Singapore. PECC has 23 full member committees Australia; Brunei Darussalam; Canada; Chile; China; Colombia; Ecuador; Hong Kong; Indonesia; Japan; Korea; Malaysia; Mexico; Mongolia; New Zealand; Peru; the Philippines; Singapore; Taiwan; Thailand; the United States; Vietnam and the Pacific Island Forum, one associate member: France, and 2 institutional members: Pacific Trade and Development Conference (PAFTAD) and the Pacific Basin Economic Council (PBEC).

Alexander Wong Kin Ming of Hong Kong served as the Assistant Chief Commissioner and the International Commissioner of the Scout Association of Hong Kong, as well as the Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Governance Review Task Force.

Chau Cham-son, OBE, CStJ, JP, was the Chief Commissioner of the Scout Association of Hong Kong from 1985 to 1996. He was the son of Sir Chau Tsun-nin.

Professor Yongyudh Vajaradul is a pioneer in the field of tissue banking and the use of bone allografts in orthopedic surgery, and serves as chairman of the World Buddhist Scout Brotherhood.

Eric Khoo Heng-Pheng

Eric Khoo Heng-Pheng was one of 12 elected volunteer members of the World Scout Committee, the main executive body of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, and Chairman of its Asia Pacific Regional Scout Committee, elected in 2001. He was elected at the 38th World Scout Conference in South Korea for a six-year term.

Yoritake Matsudaira

Yoritake Matsudaira present Chairman of Hongō Gakuen, served as the International Commissioner and member of the Board of Directors of the Scout Association of Japan, as well as a member of the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee and a founding member of the World Buddhist Scout Brotherhood. Matsudaira retired from the post of International Commissioner on reaching the retirement age of 65 in 2003, and presently serves as President (Renmei-chō) of the Kagawa Scout Council.

Toby Suzuki

Takemichi Toby Suzuki, a former elected member of the World Scout Committee from 1999 to 2005, served as the former Chairman of the Information and Communications Technology subcommittee of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1995 to 1998, former member of the National Executive Council and the National Board of the Scout Association of Japan from 1993 to 2007.

Chao Shou-po

Chao Shou-po is a Taiwanese politician, educator, civic activist and lawyer and a prominent leader in the World Scout Movement. He has served as a Presidium Member of the Central Advisory Committee of the Kuomintang, and has taught law at several Taiwanese universities. Chao was the President of the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Foundation Management Committee and the Chairman of the Foundation of the Scouts of China (Taiwan). He has held many government posts including Labor Minister, Secretary-General of the Cabinet, Minister without Portfolio and Governor of the Province of Taiwan. Chao served the Ma Ying-jeou administration as senior adviser, and from 2005 to 2012 was commissioner of the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

Kim Kyu-young

Kim Kyu-young served as the Director of the Korea Scout Association from 1982 to 1991 and Regional Director of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Scout Bureau from 1990 to 2002.

Mrs. Kirsty M. Brown of Australia served as the Chairman of the World Program Committee and World Adult Resources Committee and as a member of the Educational Methods Group the World Scout Committee, Chief Commissioner of Scouts Queensland, and as Vice-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Scout Committee. Currently (2017) Kirsty is Immediate Past Chief Commissioner and Life Member of Scouts Queensland, Life Member of Scouts Australia, Consultant to the Asia Pacific Regional Scout Committee and Chairman of the World Honours and Awards Committee?

Sumon Samasarn

Sumon Samasarn was a Thai teacher and an influential contributor to the Scouting movement in Thailand. She worked as a career civil servant under the Ministry of Education until her retirement, was a member of the 1989 Senate and 1991 National Legislative Assembly, and served as the National Training Commissioner of the National Scout Organization of Thailand. Samasarn was the sister of Thailand's former Prime Minister Chavalit Yongchaiyudh.

Shree Ram Lamichhanne from Lalitpur, Nepal, served as the Chief Commissioner of Nepal Scouts and as the Regional Vice-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), and as an elected volunteer member from 2009 to 2015, presently serving as Chairman of the Awards Committee.

Reiko Suzuki (Scouting)

Reiko Suzuki serves as the Deputy National Commissioner of the Scout Association of Japan. She also serves as the 2nd Vice-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee from 2012 to 2018.

Janaprith Fernando

Janaprith Salinda Fernando of Colombo, Sri Lanka, the Colombo Law Society President, serves as the International Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association and an elected volunteer member of the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) from 2012 to 2018.He is currently serving in the World Scout Committee, the World Organisation of the Scout Movement's highest governing body. Fernando was elected to this body in August 2017 by the 41st World Scout Conference, held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Shim Sang-ho is a South Korean businessman. He served as an elected volunteer member of the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) from 2009 to 2015, chairperson of the Young Adult Members Group.
