Southampton Union Free School District is a public school district located in the Town of Southampton on Long Island, in Suffolk County, New York, United States.
The total enrollment for the 2018–2019 school year was 643 students. [1]
Until April 2016, the superintendent was Dr. Scott Farina. [2]
The current school building opened in 1974 on Narrow Lane on the east side of Southampton village. [3] Previous the high school was in a complex on the east side of the business district on Montauk Highway/Hampton Road. Most of the complex now is Town Hall for Southampton Town. The intermediate school has moved from the downtown complex to the high school super block. The elementary school still is in the complex. The earlier complex opened in 1912 and was designed by William Lawrence Bottomley is in Georgian style. [4]
Donald Trump landed on the high school football field on Marine One Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey after flying from Trump National Golf Club Bedminster to the school on August 8, 2020, en route to a fundraiser at the home of John Paulson in Southampton and a visit to his son Donald Trump Jr. home in Bridgehampton before flying back from the school to Bedminister. The team mascot is the Mariners and the school colors are maroon and white.

Fayetteville–Manlius High School is a comprehensive New York public high school on East Seneca Turnpike in the Town of Manlius, serving grades 9–12 in the Fayetteville-Manlius Central School District. It is the only high school in the district, and is the successor to both Wellwood Middle School and Eagle Hill Middle School. The William Floyd School District is located in the southern area of the Town of Brookhaven on Long Island in New York. The district serves the contiguous communities of Shirley, Mastic, Mastic Beach and Moriches. The William Floyd School District is one of the larger school districts on Long Island and is named after William Floyd, one of only 56 men to sign the Declaration of Independence. The district is located on the south shore of Long Island, approximately 60 miles east of New York City, with an enrollment of 8,653 students as of 2016. William Floyd students attend five elementary schools, two middle schools, and a senior high school.
New York's 1st congressional district is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives in eastern Long Island. It includes the eastern two-thirds of Suffolk County, including the northern portion of Brookhaven, as well as the entirety of the towns of Huntington, Smithtown, Riverhead, Southold, Southampton, East Hampton, and Shelter Island. Brookhaven-Comsewogue Union School District is located in Port Jefferson Station, on the North Shore of Long Island, in Brookhaven Town, Suffolk County, New York, United States.
Longwood Central School District covers 53 square miles (140 km2) in central Brookhaven Town, Suffolk County, New York, United States. It serves the hamlets of Ridge, Gordon Heights, Middle Island, Coram, and Yaphank, and parts of Shoreham, Shirley, Medford, and Upton. During the 2017–2018 school year, there were 15,833 students enrolled and 2,069 teachers employed at Longwood CSD.
North Rockland High School (NRHS) is public, co-educational high school located in Thiells, New York, serving 9th to 12th grade students from the northern section of Rockland County, in southern New York. The building was formerly used as an education center for the nearby Letchworth Village mental institution. In the 1970s it transitioned to a high school for the public following an expansion of the Willowbrook State School in Staten Island, New York. Today, it is the only high school in the North Rockland Central School District.
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) is the governing body of interscholastic sports for most public schools in New York outside New York City. The organization was created in 1923, after a predecessor organization called the New York State Public High School Association of Basketball Leagues began in 1921 to bring consistency to eligibility rules and to conduct state tournaments. It consists of 768 member high schools from the state divided into 11 geographic sections. While as its name suggests the vast majority of its members are public, it does include a number of private and Catholic high schools. Most of these are located in Central New York and the Capital District, where parallel sanctioning bodies for private schools do not exist. It is a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations as well as the New York State Federation of Secondary School Athletic Associations.
Elwood-John H. Glenn High School is a four-year secondary school of about 800 students and 70 faculty members, located in the hamlet of Elwood, Town of Huntington, Long Island, New York. The school serves residents of the Elwood School District.
Riverhead Central School District is a public school district located in the eastern part of Suffolk County, New York, United States. It primarily serves the Town of Riverhead, as well as 10 square miles (26 km2) in the Town of Southampton and 3 square miles (8 km2) in the Town of Brookhaven, and includes the census-designated places(CDPs) of Aquebogue, Baiting Hollow, Northville, Riverhead, and Riverside, and portions of Calverton, Flanders, Hampton Bays, Jamesport, Northampton, and Wading River. The total district size is 81 square miles (210 km2).
Sag Harbor Union Free School District is a public school district located primarily in the Town of Southampton, with a small portion in the Town of East Hampton, on Long Island, in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It services the villages of Sag Harbor and North Haven, the majority of the hamlet of Noyack, as well as portions of the unincorporated communities of Sag Harbor and Sagaponack.
East Hampton High School is a high school in East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York, United States. Located on the east end of Long Island, the school is the easternmost high school in New York State. It is part of the East Hampton Union Free School District, but also educates students in the neighboring communities of Wainscott, Springs, Amagansett, and Montauk as a result of tuition contracts with the respective local school districts.
Bridgehampton Union Free School District is a public school district located in the Town of Southampton on Long Island, in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It is roughly co-extensive with the hamlet of Bridgehampton, but also serves parts of Noyack, unincorporated Sag Harbor, and unincorporated Sagaponack.
WestIslipHighSchool is a public high school in the town of West Islip, in Suffolk County, New York on the South Shore of Long Island. It is part of the West Islip Union Free School District.
Riley Edgar Biggs was a National Football League (NFL) center who played two seasons with the New York Giants. He played college football at Baylor University and attended Southampton High School in Southampton, New York. He was also a member of the Rock Island Independents of the American Football League (AFL).
