The NBA draft is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) annual event, dating back to 1947 in which the teams in the league can draft players who declare for the draft and that are eligible to join their organization. The current NBA consists of 30 teams, and all thirty teams have at least one draft pick throughout the two draft rounds. Historically, the vast majority of players drafted into the NBA are college basketball players.
Edgar Bennett III is an American football coach and former running back who is the wide receivers coach for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). Bennett played college football for the Florida State Seminoles and was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 1992 NFL Draft. He also played for the Chicago Bears.
Cornelius O'Landa Bennett is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Buffalo Bills from 1987 to 1995, Atlanta Falcons from 1996 to 1998, and the Indianapolis Colts from 1999 to 2000. Bennett was a five-time Pro Bowler, being elected in 1988, and 1990–1993, and won the AFC Defensive Player of the Year award twice.
Anthony Guy Bennett is an American former professional basketball player and since 2009 the head coach of the University of Virginia men's team, with whom he won the NCAA Championship in 2019. Bennett is a three-time recipient of the Henry Iba Award, two-time Naismith College Coach of the Year, and two-time AP Coach of the Year. Bennett is the all-time wins leader at Virginia, and holds or shares records for single-season wins and career winning percentage at both Virginia and Washington State. He is one of three coaches in history to lead his program to ten or more consecutive winning ACC records and is one of three coaches to be named ACC Coach of the Year four or more times.
The 1975 NBA draft was the 29th annual draft of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The draft was held on May 29, 1975, before the 1975–76 season. In this draft, 18 NBA teams took turns selecting amateur U.S. college basketball players and other eligible players, including international players. The first two picks in the draft belonged to the teams that finished last in each conference, with the order determined by a coin flip. The Atlanta Hawks, who obtained the New Orleans Jazz first-round pick in a trade, won the coin flip and were awarded the first overall pick, while the Los Angeles Lakers were awarded the second pick. Prior to the draft, the Kansas City-Omaha Kings were renamed the Kansas City Kings. Before the draft, 18 college underclassmen and 2 high school players were declared eligible for selection under the "hardship" rule. These players had applied and gave evidence of financial hardship to the league, which granted them the right to start earning their living by starting their professional careers earlier.
Christopher Corchiani Sr. is an American-Italian former professional basketball player he played at the point guard position. He played briefly in the National Basketball Association (NBA) after a college career at NC State. Corchiani was the first college player to amass 1,000 career assists and as of 2024 is one of only four players in history to achieve the milestone.

Martellus Demond Bennett is an American former football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons. He played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies football and was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Bennett was a member of five teams during his career, most notably the Chicago Bears, with whom he earned Pro Bowl honors, and the New England Patriots, with whom he won Super Bowl LI. After retiring, Bennett became a children's author and published books under his publication company The Imagination Agency. He is the younger brother of former defensive end Michael Bennett.

Talmadge Wesley Bennett was an American basketball player who played for Westminster College where he twice led the nation in scoring and won honors as the Helms Foundation College Basketball Player of the Year in 1934. Bennett was a participant on the first college doubleheader played in New York City's Madison Square Garden on December 29, 1934, where he led Westminster to an upset over the hometown St. John's University team.
Anthony Harris Bennett is a Canadian professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He was the first overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, becoming the first Canadian to be drafted number one overall. He played only four seasons in the NBA, averaging 4.4 points, and is often considered the worst number-one pick in league history.
John Michael Moates was an American basketball player best known for his collegiate career at the University of Richmond between 1964–65 and 1966–67. A native of Richmond, Virginia, the 6 ft 1 in (185 cm) point guard played for the Spiders for three seasons, the last two of which he was a First Team All-Southern Conference selection. In his senior season of 1966–67, Moates averaged 25.0 points per game to lead the conference in scoring and was subsequently named the Southern Conference Player of the Year.
Aron Stewart is an American former basketball player who starred at the University of Richmond in 1972–73 and 1973–74. Stewart played in only 44 games for the Spiders yet still scored 1,237 points, averaging a school record 28.1 points per game for his career. Stewart was named the Southern Conference Player of the Year in 1973.
Joshua Duinker is an Australian-Dutch former professional basketball player who last played for the Kumamoto Volters of the Japanese B.League. He has been a member of the Dutch national basketball team and holds a New Zealand passport because of his mother.
