Spinning Coin are a Scottish indie rock band formed in Glasgow in 2014. They are signed to the Domino Records imprint Geographic Music, which is run by Stephen Pastel. [2] Their first album Permo was released in 2017, [3] and the follow-up Hyacinth was released in 2020. [4]
Their debut cassette was released by Fuzzkill Records in 2015, which caught the attention of Geographic Music. [1] They have toured with Teenage Fanclub and recorded with Edwyn Collins. [5]

Alexander Giannascoli, better known by his stage names Alex G or, formerly, (Sandy) Alex G, is an American musician, producer, and singer-songwriter. It is also their first album to feature new member Julian Corrie, who joined shortly after the departure of Nick McCarthy, and their last to feature drummer Paul Thomson. The album received generally positive reviews from critics. It peaked at number three in Scotland and number six in the UK. Four singles were released from the album: "Always Ascending", "Feel the Love Go", "Lazy Boy" and an alternative version of "Glimpse of Love". Several tracks from the album are featured during scenes or the closing credits of various episodes of the television show Loudermilk.
