Sportsmanden

Sportsmanden ('The Sportsman') was a Norwegian weekly sports newspaper. [1]

It was established in 1913 by Magnus Brænden, absorbed the competitor Idrætsliv in 1933, and went defunct in 1965. [2] From 1914 to 1919 the paper was edited by Nanna With, a feminist. [3] The other editors include Magnus Brænden and Charles Hoff.

Jens von der Lippe was a Norwegian ceramist, non-fiction writer and educator. He was born in Christiania, and was a brother of Frits von der Lippe and Just Lippe. He ran a ceramics workshop in Oslo in cooperation with his wife, Margrethe von der Lippe, and many of their works were co-productions. He lectured at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry from 1939 to 1975. He published the book Stråmønsteret – det udødelige blåmalede in 1983.

Norsk Idrætsblad was a sports magazine published from 1878 to 1925 under different titles in Oslo, Norway. It was the first sports magazine and one of the most read magazines in the country during its run.
