A total of 56 athletes will qualify to compete at the Games (32 male, 24 female). Each country is allowed to enter a maximum of three male and three female athletes. [1] The top ten men's teams and top eight women's teams (including Canada) at the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival will qualify for the games. A further two wildcards will be allocated (2 men). A nation may enter a maximum of two athletes per singles events, and one doubles per event. [1] [2]

Squash competitions at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara was held from October 15 to October 20 at the Squash Complex.
Qualification was done at the 2010 Pan American Championship in Guatemala City, Guatemala. A maximum of sixty athletes will compete at the squash competition. There will be a maximum of 35 male and 25 female competitors total. Each nation can enter a maximum of three male and female athletes, for a total of six athletes. Of these athletes, two will compete in the individual events per gender, one pair will compete in doubles per gender, and three will compete in a team in the team event per gender. The top seven nations at the 2010 Pan American Squash Championship can qualify women's teams, while the top ten nations can qualify men's teams. Mexico qualifies a men's and women's team as the host nation. Outside of this, athletes can qualify individually, with a maximum of one female and two male athletes qualifying individually.

Squash competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 11 to 17. The venue for the competitions was Direct Energy Centre, due to naming rights the venue were known as the latter for the duration of the games. The venue also staged the racquetball.
