St-y-Nyll is a large detached house near the village of St. Brides-super-Ely in the Vale of Glamorgan.

It was built in 1924 by the Welsh architect Percy Thomas in the Neo-Georgian style. A Tudor mansion dating from the 1480s had previously stood on the site. [1] [2] [3] It has been listed Grade II by Cadw since June 1977. [1] It was put up for sale in 2000 for £715,000 and was described as having 13.4 acres (5.4 ha) of grounds. [2] The interior is noted for its plaster cornices, parquet floors, and original fireplaces dating from the 17th century, the Georgian period, and in the style of Robert Adam. [1] It sold for £1.5 million in June 2020. [4]

Parc le Breos Medieval deer park in Wales

Parc le Breos was a great medieval deer park in the south of the Gower Peninsula, about eight miles (13 km) west of Swansea, Wales, and about 1+14 miles (2.0 km) north of the Bristol Channel. The park was an enclosed, oval area of 6.7 miles (10.8 km) in circumference, covering about 2,000 acres (810 ha) and measuring 2+12 miles (east–west) by just over 1+34 miles. Parc le Breos was established in the 1220s CE by John de Braose, Marcher Lord of Gower and husband to Margaret Ferch Llywelyn, Llywelyn Fawr's daughter. Other than for deer husbandry, the park received an income from agistment, pannage, and from sales of wild honey, ferns and dead wood. There is evidence of rabbit warrens in the park. Whether the warrens were free or domestic is unknown.

Llanarth Court

Llanarth Court is a late-18th-century country house with substantial 19th-century alterations in Llanarth, Monmouthshire, Wales. The court was built for the Jones family of Treowen and was subsequently the home of Ivor Herbert, 1st Baron Treowen, whose family still owns much of the Llanarth estate, although not the court itself. The court is a Grade II* listed building and is now a private hospital.
