St George Orthodox Church, Chathannoor, known locally as Chathannoor Valiya Palli, is a parish of the Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. "Chathannoor Marthamariyam Suriyani Pally," as it was called in the ancient days, was built around AD 1755. One of the largest churches in South Kerala, it is the oldest church in Chathannoor and mother church to the churches in the Chathannoor region.
Notable works in the church include a mural featuring the patron, Saint George (Geevarghese Sahada), dating to 1792; the Chathannoor Panchangam, which has entries in Tamil and Malayalam; and a picture of a Mass in 1861 by Lt. Col. Stevenson of the British Army of Geevarghese Yakoob Kattanar offering up his sword. [1]
The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (MOSC) also known as the Indian Orthodox Church (IOC) or simply as the Malankara Church, is an autocephalous Oriental Orthodox church headquartered in Devalokam, near Kottayam, India. Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta, established in 1952, is an institution of higher education at Pathanamthitta of Kerala, India. Catholicate College belongs to the first group of colleges in Kerala to receive academic accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). In the fourth cycle of (NAAC) re-accreditation, the college has been re-accredited by NAAC in A++ grade with CGPA of 3.53. The college is owned by Malankara Orthodox Church, founded by Catholicos Baselios Geevarghese II. The college was originally planned by Geevarghese Philoxenos, Metropolitan; it was founded in 1952, after his death, by Daniel Philoxenos Metropolitan, who became the first principal of the college.
Geevarghese Dionysius Vattasseril, also Dionysius VI, Dionysius Geevarghese II or, popularly, Vattasseril Thirumeni, was a bishop of the Malankara Church and 15th Malankara Metropolitan. In 2003, Dionysius was canonized as a saint by the Malankara Orthodox Church, and his feast day is celebrated on February 23 each year. He is known as 'The Great Luminary of Malankara Church', a title which the Church bestowed on him in recognition of his contribution to the Church.

Mylapra Valiyapalli or St. George Orthodox Church, Mylapra, referred to as Chakkittayil palli is a pilgrim center located in the village of Mylapra, in the India state of Kerala. It ia one of the important church in Indian Orthodox Church. The year 52 A.D is dear to the Christian community in kerala as it marks the date when the Apostle Thomas introduced the Gospel to the people in India. He established seven Churches and a chapel before leaving for other places. The buildings did not survive the onslaught of time, and the most famous one in Nilackal in the hills vanished when the flourishing town was overrun by brigands. However, the people held on to the new faith and many escaped to distant places north and south where they worshipped in temporary sheds for centuries. The churches were few and far between so people walked miles to attend services. The people of Mylapra attended Mass, earlier in Thumpamon, or Omalloor and later in Makamkunnu. But even that was too far away for most people so the folk here decided to build their own Church.
St. George's Monastery is a Jacobite Syrian Christian Church situated at a hilltop near Puthencruz, Ernakulam District, Kerala. The monastery was established by Mor Yulius Elias Qoro.
