St. Joseph's Convent is a Roman Catholic secondary school for girls located in Castries, Saint Lucia.

Saint Lucia is a sovereign island country in the West Indies in the eastern Caribbean Sea on the boundary with the Atlantic Ocean. Dame Calliopa Pearlette Louisy was the Governor-General of Saint Lucia from 1997 to 2017. She was the first woman to hold this office, into which she was sworn on 19 September 1997, and resigned from on 31 December 2017.

George William Odlum was a Saint Lucian left-wing politician who served as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. Born in Castries, Odlum studied at Bristol University and Oxford University in the United Kingdom before returning to Saint Lucia as Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Trade. After working for the Commonwealth Secretariat and the West Indies Associated States, he formed the Saint Lucia Forum, a left-wing pressure group. This group merged with the Saint Lucia Labour Party in time for the 1974 elections; although the Party did not win, the progress they made allowed them to take power in 1979, with Odlum as Deputy Prime Minister.

Sesenne

Dame Marie Selipha Descartes, DBE, BEM, best known as Sesenne, was a Saint Lucian singer and cultural icon. Singing in her native patois language, at a time when authorities barred its use, Sesenne developed a wide following in the rural area in which she grew up. Patronage by St. Lucia's first woman legislator led to the singer's "discovery" by a cultural preservationist, who in turn introduced Sesenne to an American anthropologist to make recordings of her songs.

Ezechiel Joseph is a Saint Lucian politician who represented the constituency of Babonneau for the United Workers Party from 2006 to 2011. Joseph won the seat at the general election held on 11 December 2006. In the government of Prime Minister John Compton, sworn in on 19 December 2006, he was appointed Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Joseph lost the seat at the general election held on 28 November 2011. He was sworn in as an opposition member of the Senate on 5 January 2012. He resigned from the Senate effective 31 December 2015. Joseph regained the Babonneau seat in the general election held on 6 June 2016.

Stephenson King

Stephenson King was the sixth Prime Minister of Saint Lucia. He is the son of Grafton King; a renowned seaman, from Canouan, St.Vincent and Marie Bernadette Satney, a seamstress from the village of Choiseul. He represents the constituency of Castries North for the United Workers Party (UWP) in the House of Assembly of Saint Lucia. Although himself reelected in his constituency, his UWP party suffered defeat in the 28 November 2011 general elections.

Sir Arthur Lewis Community College is the only community college in the island country of Saint Lucia. The college was established in 1985 and is named after Saint Lucian economist and Nobel laureate Sir Arthur Lewis.

Allen Michael Chastanet is a Saint Lucian businessman and politician who has been Prime Minister of Saint Lucia since June 2016. He is the political leader of the United Workers Party, as well as the parliamentary representative for Micoud South constituency. Previously he served from 2006 to 2011 as Saint Lucia's Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation.

Suzie Agnes-Ida d'Auvergne was a Saint Lucian barrister and jurist. She was a High Court Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court from 1990 to 2004.
