St Paul's Church is a 19th-century church in Winlaton, Tyne and Wear, England, dedicated to St Paul. It is a Grade II listed building. [1]
The church was designed by Ignatius Bonomi and consecrated in 1828.
In the 20th century alterations and maintenance work to the church were carried out by Charlewood, Curry, Wilson & Atkinson, architects. [2]
Inside the church there is a memorial plaque dedicated to former pupils of Blaydon Secondary School who died in World War I. The plaque was transferred to the church when the school closed in 1998. [3]

St Thomas More Catholic School is a Roman Catholic secondary school with academy status in Blaydon, Tyne and Wear, England, providing teaching to 11- to 19-year-olds. It is a well-regarded and over-subscribed school, performing well both regionally and nationally. In its most recent OFSTED inspection (2023) it was credited with having cultivated a "climate of high ambition" and was rated as "good" in all major areas assessed. The school converted to academy status on 1 February 2012.

Winlaton Mill is a village in Tyne and Wear, North East England. It is not to be confused with Winlaton to the northwest which now comprises the southern part of Blaydon. The village is halfway between Gateshead to the northeast and Rowlands Gill to the southwest. Statistically Winlaton Mill is part of the ward of Winlaton and High Spen which contains part of Blaydon, High Spen and other outlying villages. The village is on the A694 which joins the A1 at Swalwell and contains the Red Kite Pub and Restaurant. Winlaton Mill is near the River Derwent which may suggest its name.
