Biography

Lee began her career in advertising, working for Saatchi & Saatchi in New Zealand from 2002 to 2007, then for advertising agencies 180 Amsterdam and Mother New York. [2] [3] In 2006, she was ranked 9th equal in the world at the YoungGuns International Awards. [4] While working with athletes in Amsterdam for an Adidas campaign, she moved into film-making. Her films have appeared at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival and the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival. [5]

499 is a 2020 Mexican-American documentary hybrid film directed by Rodrigo Reyes. The film is a creative exploration of the legacy of colonialism in contemporary Mexico, 500 years after the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire. The film had its international premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival, where it won the best cinematography award in the documentary competition, as well as winning the Special Jury Award at Hot Docs the same year. It also won the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Golden Frog Prize for Best Docudrama.

<i>Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U</i> Musical Documentary

Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U is a 2022 American documentary directed by Stacy Lee, released to Disney+ on March 25, 2022. Based on the making of Olivia Rodrigo's debut album, Sour, the documentary is about a road trip Rodrigo took between Salt Lake City and Los Angeles along with her live band, where they performed songs from Sour on different spots along the trip. The documentary also contains clips of Rodrigo and Sour producer Dan Nigro, as well as interviews where Rodrigo explains the meaning behind songs from the album.
