The krone is the official currency of Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands, introduced on 1 January 1875. Both the ISO code "DKK" and currency sign "kr." are in common use; the former precedes the value, the latter in some contexts follows it. The currency is sometimes referred to as the Danish crown in English, since krone literally means crown. Historically, krone coins have been minted in Denmark since the 17th century.
In the Western tradition of surnames, there are several types of double surname. If the two names are joined with a hyphen, it may also be called a hyphenated surname. The word "barrel" probably refers to the barrel of a shotgun, as in "double-barreled shotgun".

The króna is the currency of the Faroe Islands. It is issued by Danmarks Nationalbank, the central bank of Denmark. It is not a separate currency, but is rather a local issue of banknotes denominated in the Danish krone, although Danish-issued coins are still used. Consequently, it does not have an ISO 4217 currency code and instead shares that of the Danish krone, DKK. The króna is subdivided into 100 oyru(r).
Aarhus Gymnastikforening, is a professional sports club based in Aarhus, Jutland, Denmark. Founded in 1880, it is one of the oldest clubs in the country and gymnastics and fencing are featured as its main sports. However, AGF is mostly known for its football department, which was established in 1902. Currently, the club's first team plays in the Danish Superliga, the top flight of the Danish football league system.

Baneheia is a recreational area in the municipality of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. The park is mostly known at the national level from the Baneheia case as the scene of a notorious murder of two girls ages 8 and 10 that took place in 2000. The area lies just north of the centre of the city of Kristiansand and it has hills, lakes, and forest. The Ravnedalen Park lies just to the northwest of Baneheia. The Baneheia area was given to the citizens of Kristiansand by King Christian IV of Denmark-Norway when the city was founded in 1641.
Jesper Kongstad was Chairman of the Administrative Council of the European Patent Organisation from 2010 to September 2017. Until September 2017, he was also Director General of the Danish Patent and Trademark Office. In 2009, he was candidate for the position of President of the European Patent Office, which was to be filled on 1 July 2010, but, in December 2009, he withdrew his candidacy. Jesper Kongstad had been elected as Chairman of the Administrative Council of the European Patent Organisation on 29 June 2010. He took up office on 1 July 2010 for a period of three years, later extended to six years.
Nysø Manor, located near Præstø in the southeast of the Danish island of Sealand, was built in 1673 for Jens Lauridsen, a local functionary. It now houses the Thorvaldsen Collection, a group of works by the Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen, who lived and worked there in his later years.

Astrid Stampe Feddersen, usually known as Astrid Stampe, (1852–1930) was a Danish women's rights activist and author alongside her sister Rigmor Stampe Bendix. Stampe joined the women's movement early on and from 1883 to 1887, she was on the board of the Danish Women's Society, playing an active part in work on women's issues.
Peder Kofod Ancher was a Danish jurist, and with Andreas Hojer and Henrik Stampe one of the most influential jurists in Denmark in the 18th century.
Christinelund, originally a farm under Nysø Manor, is located a few kilometres east of central Præstø, on the island of Zealand's Jungshoved peninsula, in Vordingborg Municipality in southeastern Denmark. It takes its name from the salonist Christine Stampe and was frequently visited by Hans Christian Andersen in the 1850s, when it was the home of Henrik and Jonna Stampe. The current main building was completed in 1860 to a design by the architect Ferdinand Meldahl. It was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 23 February 1978. The property is now operated as a bed and breakfast.
Christine Stampe, née Dalgas, was a Danish noblewoman known as one of the chief benefactors of the Danish/Icelandic sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen.

Gerdrup, formerly Gjerup, is a manor house and estate located three kilometres north of Skælskør, Slagelse Municipality, Denmark. The estate was from 1760 to 1919 owned by members of the Qvistgaard family and has since then been owned by the Fabricius family. The current main building is from 1866. It is now operated as a venue for meetings, parties and other events.
Rigmor Stampe Bendix (1850–1923) was a Danish baroness, writer and philanthropist. In 1898, she became editor of Kvindernes Blad, a supplement to various daily newspapers, developing it as an organ for the women's movement. She is remembered in Denmark for her biographies of the sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen, Baronesse Stampes Erindringer om Thorvaldsen (1912) and of her godfather Hans Christian Andersen, H.C. Andersen og hans nærmeste Omgang (1918).
