Star Hill Ponies is a British children's stop-motion animation series produced by Bumper Films and co-produced by Mike Young Productions for S4C. [1] It was the last production by Bumper Films before they shut down in February 2002. The voice actors are Josie Lawrence and Andrew Sachs. [2]

Plot

The series follows a young girl named Baz who dreams of nothing more than finding a best friend. Her wish comes true when two roaming Welsh Mountain ponies Molly and Dylan, show up at her farm with Shetland pony Scruffy. Their playful frolics change her life forever.

Starhill Ponies is co-produced by Mike Young Productions in Los Angeles, California, United States and Bumper Films in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, United Kingdom for S4C and BBC. It is Bumper Films' only television series co-produced in the United Kingdom and North America. The series is distributed in the United Kingdom by S4C International and BBC Worldwide and worldwide by Taffy Entertainment.

Caerdydd is a Welsh language television programme set in Cardiff made by Fiction Factory for Welsh public service television station S4C. First commissioned by S4C's drama editor Angharad Jones in 2005, as part of a drive by S4C to reach a younger audience, the third series of Caerdydd started its run on S4C on 30 March 2008. A fourth series was commissioned and went into production in Spring 2008. It started broadcasting on 14 June 2009.

The silver or silver dapple (Z) gene is a dilution gene that affects the black base coat color and is associated with Multiple Congenital Ocular Abnormalities. It will typically dilute a black mane and tail to a silvery gray or flaxen color, and a black body to a chocolaty brown, sometimes with dapples. Bumper Films, Inc. was a children's stop motion animation studio based in Weston-super-Mare, United Kingdom. They were best known for producing the original series of Fireman Sam, which aired from 1987 to 1994 in the UK. They also produced Joshua Jones, which aired briefly during 1992, Star Hill Ponies, which aired from 1998 until 2002, and Rocky Hollow, which aired from 1983 to 1987.

Michael Emlyn Young is a Welsh Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning producer. He is the founder of two animation companies in both the UK and the US. His company in 2015 changed its name from Mike Young Productions to Splash Entertainment, which also is a majority owner of Popular AVOD network Kabillion.
