Stefan Strobel is a Paralympic athlete from Germany competing mainly in category T51 marathon events.

Saúl Mendoza Hernández is a Mexican former wheelchair racer, who competed at the Olympic and Paralympic levels.
Choke Yasuoka is a wheelchair racer, who competes at Olympic level for Japan. At the 2004 Olympic Games, he finished 6th in the demonstration sport of Men's 1500m wheelchair. He also participated in the 2004 Summer Paralympics, winning silver in the 400 metres, gold in the 800 metres, and bronze in the 4×400 metre relay. He has also competed in wheelchair marathon races, including the Boston Marathon and the Ōita Marathon.

Wakako Tsuchida is an athlete from Tokyo, Japan, who is an accomplished women's wheelchair marathoner, ice sledge racer and triathlete. He competed in athletics at every Summer Paralympic Games from 1984 to 2008, and at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics he competed in cycling, using a handcycle. At the Winter Paralympics, he competed in cross-country sit-skiing between 1984 and 2006 and in the biathlon in 1994.

Zambia competed at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, Australia. It was the country's second participation in the Paralympic Games. Wheelchair athlete Lango Sinkamba, who had competed in the 1996 Games, took part for the second time, entering the marathon. Visually impaired sprinter Nancy Kalaba, Zambia's only other representative, made her Paralympic début, in the 100m race. Neither of them won a medal.

He has won two Grand Slam titles in doubles, the 2009 US Open and the 2010 Wimbledon titles, and two in singles, at Wimbledon in 2017 and 2018. Olsson has won both the singles and doubles events at the year end Masters and is a Paralympic champion in men's doubles. He started playing tennis at the age of seven.
