Stefanie Karg Waibl (born 22 October 1986 Hoyerswerda) was a German volleyball player.
Hoyerswerda is a major district town in the district of Bautzen in the German state of Saxony. It is located in the Sorbian settlement area of Upper Lusatia, a region where some people speak the Sorbian language in addition to German.
Volleyball is a popular team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964.
She was a member of the Germany women's national volleyball team and played for Dresdner SC in 2014. She was part of the German national team at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Italy. [1]

Dresdner SC is a German multisport club playing in Dresden, Saxony. Founded on 30 April 1898, the club was a founding member of the German Football Association in 1900. The origins of the club go back still further to the predecessor side Dresden English Football Club formed in 1874 by expatriate Englishmen as Germany's first football club and possibly the earliest in continental Europe: Dresdener SC was organized by one-time German members of the EFC.
The 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship was the 17th edition of the Women's Volleyball World Championship, organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The tournament was held in Italy from 23 September to 12 October 2014 and was contested by 24 teams. The United States defeated China 3-1 to win the tournament. Kimberly Hill was selected Most Valuable Player.
