Stefano Macaluso (born 6 September 1975 in Casale Monferrato, Italy) is an Italian businessman. He attended high school and went to university in Turin, graduating with a degree in Architecture from the Politecnico in 2002. While completing his university course, he also devoted some time to his passion for motorsports, competing first in the Italian Rally Championship before going on to compete in the European Rally Championship and World Rally Championship.
Since his earliest age, Stefano Macaluso had been immersed in the world of watches: he has seen his father Luigi Macaluso at work as President of the Sowind Group that incorporates a "Manufacture" and the two watchmaking brands Girard-Perregaux and JeanRichard. [1] Surrounded by the technical and aesthetic expertise that has made the luxury Swiss watch-making industry so famous, he has acquired wide experience in this sector to add to his extensive professional know-how.
Since 2003 he has lived in La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Swiss canton of Neuchâtel. There, he has successively held professional positions in strategic marketing, product creation and development, industrial management and in the Sales Department Direction for Girard-Perregaux. Among his achievements, he has coordinated the development of the Girard-Perregaux retail concept, from the first flagship store opened in Gstaad in 2004 to the newest boutiques opened in New York and China. Passionate about design, he puts his architect background to good use through his involvement in the product creation.
Since November 2010, Stefano Macaluso has been appointed general manager for Girard-Perregaux. [2]

Škoda Motorsport is the division of Czech car manufacturer Škoda Auto responsible for motorsport activities. Luigi Macaluso, also known as Gino was an Italian rally navigator and manager. Together with Raffaele Pinto, he won the European Rally Championship in 1972 and the Italian Rally Championship with Maurizio Verini in 1974. He was then the chairman and CEO of the Sowind group, under whose roof Girard-Perregaux, the watchmaker GP Manufacture and JeanRichard were united.

The 2018 Rally Catalunya was a motor racing event for rally cars that took place between 25 and 28 October. The event was open to entries competing in World Rally Cars and cars complying with Group R regulations. It marked the fifty-fourth running of Rally Catalunya and was the twelfth round of the 2018 FIA World Rally Championship, the highest class of competition in international rallying. Seventy-six crews, including manufacturer teams and privateers, were entered to compete in the World Rally Championship, the FIA World Rally Championship-2 and FIA World Rally Championship-3 support series and the Spanish national Rally Championship and Peugeot Rally Cup Ibérica championship. The 2018 event was based in Salou in Tarragona and consisted of eighteen special stages. The rally covered a total competitive distance of a 331.58 km and an additional 1,132.79 km in transport stages.
