Stephan Szpak-Fleet (aka Stephan Fleet) is a Visual Effects Supervisor, 2nd Unit Director, and Producer for Television and Premium Streaming Platforms. Born on April 25th, 1979 in Warsaw, Poland, he grew up in Los Angeles, CA and was a child actor, acting in the films Brothers of the Wilderness and Legend of the White Horse opposite Christopher Lloyd. Later, he attained a BA in Theater from UCLA and an MFA in Film Production from USC.


After graduate school and many jobs as a graphic designer, he worked on Ghost Whisperer for Sander/Moses productions as head of digital media, where he worked on promotional material for the TV show as well as pitch materials for additional projects. This job taught him the nitty-gritty of television production. From there, he dove in to Visual Effects, specifically, compositing and motion graphics on NBC's reboot of Knight Rider (2008). Merging his graphic skills and TV knowledge, he quickly helped to grow Master Key VFX in to a full-fledged VFX company.


Following Knight Rider, Stephan spent 8 years working at Encore, eventually earning the title of Executive Creative Director. Stephan VFX supervised many shows at Encore, both at home and on the road. It was here that Stephan first second unit directed on a pilot and earned his DGA accreditation. Following Encore, Stephan enjoyed a brief stint at Zoic Studios where he VFX Supervised shows like Daredevil and Iron Fist for Netflix and Marvel.


Stephan is now an independent VFX supervisor and second unit director who has worked on shows like Timeless (NBC) and The Boys (Amazon).


In addition to his VFX Supervision career, Stephan is active on youtube, has directed numerous short films, and produced the independent feature, Player (2007).

A special effects supervisor is an individual who works on a commercial, theater, television or film set creating special effects. The supervisor generally is the department head who defers to the film's director and/or producers, and who is in charge of the entire special effects team. Gregory S. Butler is an American visual effects supervisor. He graduated from Suffield High School in 1989 and afterwards entered Hampshire College. Despite his initial plans to study history, a work-study job with the audiovisual equipment in the library made him interested in film production. Butler graduated in 1993 with a major in film, television and theater design. Afterwards he moved to California to work for Industrial Light and Magic for 9 months, where after intern work he managed to become an assistant in the effects department, starting with assistant credits in The Mask and Forrest Gump.
